"Damn it." I say.

"What?" Annalise asks.

"You saying you don't wanna get in trouble or caught or whatever."

"Why is that bad?"

"I wanna come over again." I say smiling. "Last night was fun. Not to come off to strong it was fun falling asleep next to you."

Her cheeks flush a brighter shade of red.

"It was fun." She says looking up at me. Her gray eyes sparking under the low lights of the auditorium. "Maybe we should do it more often. You know if I can think of a better way to sneak you in and out."

"Deal." I say extending my hand like she did to me, what feels like years ago, but was only days before.

She takes it triumphantly and shakes my hand.

Every time she touches me, it's, wow.

Even something as simple as a handshake.

The bell rings and we go separate ways.

She goes to golf and I head back to my dorm.

Sitting on his bed waiting for me is Julian, a cheesy grin on his

"Hey buddy," I say stepping through the door cautiously. "why are you looking at me like that?"

"Annalise." Julian says still smiling.

I plop down on my bed. Looking at Julian with concern.

"Please elaborate." I say.

"Well, you snuck out last night." He says smirking. "You weren't here when I woke up. Through some deductive reasoning, Annalise."

"Look dude," I say throwing my blazer over my desk. "don't say anything okay? I don't want her getting in trouble."

"No dude of course not. Just make me a deal? I cover for you when you sneak out, you cover for me when I sneak out."

"Deal." I say relaxing back onto my bed. "So you and that boarding school chick are doing well?"

"Yea." He says his cheesy grin transforming into a loving smirk. "She's amazing. Seriously dude amazing. I'm just, I don't know."

"What?"

"I don't know if she's that into me. She's always going to Long Island for something. She sort of just disappears. Plus she paints, all the time, but she refuses to let me see what she paints."

"You're definitely overthinking this." I say laughing.

"Probably. But what about Annalise?"

"Well first we aren't dating." I say. "I just went over to talk to her last night, which is what happened. We just talked and ended up falling asleep. But she's amazing. Super smart, witty, confident. Pretty sure she could kill me."

He laughs. "Yea she could definitely kill you."

"It's kinda hot though."

"Do you like her?"

"No."

Julian gave me a skeptical look.

"What? She's hot. Doesn't mean I like her."

"You could've fooled me."

"Whatever man." I say pulling out my algebra work. "When you gonna go see your lady?"
