A good two months had passed since Yasir and leilani had started school and it was now homecoming weekend and his kappa initiation weekend all together.
He couldn't deny that he was nervous about doing a fraternity but the experiences leading up to it really made up for it. He couldn't deny it was kind of tough but it was one of his goals soooo the little games he had to play to be a part of it all made up for the relationships in brotherhood he found within it.
at the beginning finally being recognized as a Kappa there was a "coming out party" that was held at Morehouse and all the new brothers got introduced and they danced and perform together. It is a really cool thing to see for all the divine nine and people in general. He was raised watching every year even when his father passed in hopes to become one, one day. He was even trying to talk Leilani and her friends into joining as sorority and they were seriously thinking about it. Xavier had plans to be a alpha but he wasn't too serious about it so it was still up in the air.
He was currently heading to rehearsal for the party on the phone with Leilani.
"Do you know a guy named Ezra?" she asked him coming through his bluetooth.
"Yeah we are pledging together he's cool, what about him..?" he asked slightly irritated but again that is not his girlfriend.
"We have class together and he's real cool, I'm trying to make friends that can help me and stuff cause i been so stressed and anxious for no reason." she said sighing.
"You don't need friends, you got me and your girls." he said rolling his eyes. Yasir said now annoyed. Yasir has always been over protective and little possessive even when he tried not to be. He had two younger sisters of course he would be. Especially when it came to people he cared about. Lani was definitely in that mix.
"Yasir quit I have to have more friends than that." She said laughing.
"Mhmm I will beat somebody up about my best fucking friend I'm not playing." I said.
"Okay Yasir Okay. Have fun at rehearsal you better show out this weekend." She said laughing.
"You know it, aye you coming?" he asked pulling in to the place.
"Of course how could I miss it."
"Never know sometimes you be mad at me."
"Yasir stop trying to act like i'm a bitch goddamnit." she faked mad at him.
"I'm sorry i'm sorry." he laughed pulling in to his place "I'm here I'll text you when I get out."
"Byeeeee." she said and they hung up.
