Chapter 19 : A Foretaste Of The Future.

Lui had just come out of Suoh's house with the vial. He looked at it and went directly to the prisons. Once at the palace, he took off his cloak to be recognized. He wandered through the corridors and pushed open a heavy door. He then saw the stairs that led to the basement, and thus to the dungeons. He hid the vial in his pocket and further on he found guards. They saw him and looked at him.

"Prince." said a guard. The blond man in the cell opened his eyes and listened. "Your father does not allow you to enter this place.

"Shut up!" said He with authority. The guards gasped. "There is no difference to you, between my father or me. We are both of the royal lineage so I am your superior and you must just obey me! Have I made myself clear?!"

"Uh, yes sir..."

"Then just give me a few minutes with him and then I'll leave."

"Okay."

The guards ran to the stairs, leaving the privacy between the two dragons.

Lui took the key and entered. He found Free looking at him. The blonde smiled at him, "You took a long time to come to me, I was getting desperate."

"Haha, very funny. I stopped by a friend's house first."

"A friend?" said Free raising an eyebrow.

"Yes." Lui nodded. He pulled out the vial. "I have something for you."

"What is it?"

"A potion that will give you energy, normally."

"What if there's poison in it." said Free, dubiously.

"No, my friend would never do that."

"Your friend, what's his name?"

"Suoh."

"Is he a traitor?"

"No, I'm sure."

"I still don't trust him."

"But you trust me, right?" Free nodded, "Then trust me on this. I know him and he's not bad. I'd rather take the risk of giving you the potion than leave you here to rot."

Free took a good look at him, and he knew his human wouldn't give up the idea. So he sighed in defeat. "Okay, that's fine, but make it quick."

Lui nodded and made her drink the vial. Afterwards, Free coughed, "Ah, this is disgusting. What did he put in it?" He really had a bad taste in his mouth.

"Hm, I didn't get a good look." said Lui, trying to remember. "He just took a lot of stuff and mixed it all up."

"Maybe it was poisoned..."

"Well, you're still alive, now. So it was good, but I don't see any effect yet. I should go back to him and have him 'explain how that potion affected you." Free nodded.

"Prince, are you done?!" shouted a guard from a distance.

"Hm, yes!" Lui shouted at them. He turned back to Free and hugged him. "We're going to try to figure this out."

Free smiled, "I'm counting on you." Lui nodded and kissed him on the lips. He then walked out, locking the cell. The guards returned and Lui gave them the keys. He then left the premises.

SHU AND VALT'S SIDE

Shu had just finished his meal, brought by Walt.

"So, what do we do now?"

"Hm..." Valt tried to think of something. He rested his hand on his chin. "I know it's not the right time to act until the princess comes...We should stay for now in this situation.."
