Lui was leaning against a wall in the kitchen, watching Shu. Shu was preparing the meal for the others besides them. Free was out walking in the forest as usual. Valt and Suoh were resting and waiting for the meal.
He had not eaten for a while. What Free had given him was not even food for his new species. He needed to drink blood.
Free arrived a few minutes later rubbing his hand against his mouth and licking it. "This is strange. I haven't run into a single human, they were too scared because of the destruction of the capital." he laughed.
"Then I'd have to go get the food myself then." said Lui, "I'm not going to stand here and die."
Shu smiled a little, "But no, dying is not the right word. We'll both go on our little hunting trip to a village in the kingdom."
"People will wonder how I managed to survive." said Lui raising an eyebrow. "Do you think that's the best way to let them know the truth?"
Shu shrugged, "Yeah, if they recognize you, that's okay too ."
"Pffff, they will come and tell me to take back the throne and kill the monster" said Lui. Then he smiles, "While they will have one right in front of them."
"Yes, something that is good. It's that vampires have the same physical appearance as humans except for the fangs." said Shu. "Come on, next we're going to feed and I'll teach you how to hunt human."
Lui smiled, "That sounds interesting."
"It's mainly for feeding, Lui." said Shu, "Hunting is not for the sake of killing everyone."
"Yeah, well, we do both at the same time." said Lui, "Can we go now?"
Shu sighed. Free smiled, "Come on Shu, I don't want my love to go crazy because he is starving."
Shu shook his head, "He's already crazy from the start."
Free didn't retort his answer, since it was kind of true.
So Shu and Lui headed to an eastern village with an empty stomach. Well, the white-haired boy could contain himself since he was used to being a vampire, but Lui was not. This was new to him and young vampires can be uncontrollable when they want to be.
They arrived in a village where many people were working. It was their habit. They could do nothing else. Everything depended on their work, their food, their life.
Our two boys hid behind a haystack.
Lui cursed because his nose tickled. Shu put his hand on his nose before he made any noise. It had passed. Red sighed, they had avoided disaster.
He spotted a human who was further away from the others in a field. Shu disappeared as fast as lightning and killed him when no one was looking. He joined him and watched.
Kurenai put the human in a more remote and dark area. He showed the human to Lui and told him to drink. And the human refused, "I want to drink blood from a prey that I caught myself. I don't need a nanny to feed me like this, so no, I would have let you go on a mission by yourself." Lui crossed his arms sulkily.
Shu sighed, "Okay, you know how to do this?"
Lui thought, "Yeah."
Shu had a bad feeling that the boy did have an idea in mind, but this wasn't the way to do it. He was making it difficult for himself. He watched Lui go to a secluded corner and saw him talking to a little girl all alone helplessly. "Oh, not children." said Shu, putting his hand to his forehead.
The girl smiled at Lui, ready to scream because the prince is alive. Lui put his hand over her mouth and asked her if she would come with him for a moment. The little girl smiled and jumped.
