Lui was in his room, still lying down and looking at the ceiling. After his private moment with Free, Free had stepped aside and asked him what to do with Shasa and his father. He looked at him confused for a moment, because while he was unconscious he had not been able to pay attention to the enemies at all. He was reassured that Christina and her father were dead and that Shasa was under control.
He didn't know if killing the Roy Guten was good. He knew that killing Shasa would be good yes, but the Roy of a kingdom. That was taking him down then. And then he thought what the heck. They came at the wrong time and place, it's their own fault and they have to suffer the consequences.
He got up and went to the kitchen to see Shu drinking blood from a prey. The white-haired boy saw him and stopped what he was doing. He raised his head and wiped his mouth. "Lui, you are alive. I'm reassured."
Lui just nodded, "I guess thank you since it's because of you that I'm still here." He went next to him and looked at the piece of meat that was dripping with blood.
"You can try it." said Shu, "You're going to have to, vampires mostly feed on blood even though...For a first time, it's better to taste human blood."
"I don't feel like poisoning myself with the blood of that kid and that old man. All I have to do is wait for a victim to come in here and there."
"You have to learn how to hunt game first, simple expression."
Lui rolled his eyes, "It's okay, I'll be fine."
"You're not used to your body yet, you'll see that it's different from a simple human body."
"And what? You want to teach me?"
Shu smiled, "Yeah, that was an idea. We'd just have to hope you agree and Free doesn't throw a jealous fit."
Lui shrugged, "There's nothing wrong with that. I'll be managing it."
"Okay, let's do this tomorrow then."
Lui nodded, "Yes."
"Good."
Lui left and went into the hallways. He heard voices and recognized Valt and Suoh. He moved closer and heard Valt complaining that he was bored to death. Suoh had no such reaction and was admiring a flower he had found. He said that he thought it was so beautiful that it was like a poppy in full bloom. Valt just said that it didn't really make sense.
Lui walked towards where they were. It was toward the dungeons. The bars rusted and full of moss. He suspected that it would creak when the gates were opened. Valt and Suoh were keeping watch so the prisoners wouldn't run away. "So, how's it going?" he asked.
Valt turned his head directly and saw Him. He smiled widely and Lui thought at the time that he had never seen Valt smile so much. "LUI!" He ran to Him and hugged Him tightly. "I missed you so much!!!!" Valt let out tears of joy. "I'm so happy I don't know what to say!!!"
Lui raised an eyebrow, "I've heard words from you though."
"YES BUT THAT'S THE EMOTION OF THE MOMENT!!!"
Lui put his hands over his ears, "You are always so loud."
Valt looked at him for a moment confused and then understood, "Ah yes! Sorry if I'm talking too loud!"
Suoh laughed a little, "You're just like the description Lui gave me of you, Valt." He looked at his friend. "I'm glad you're alive by the way. We all despaired."
"Oh yeah." says Valt as he remembers the events he had forgotten a little, a lot to be honest. He felt a little uncomfortable that he had forgotten such an important thing but pulled himself together, making up for his mistake. "Dude, you scared everyone. Stop giving us such a scare like that."
