Chapter Ten, Bachelor Slaughter
As the months went by, Evie's pregnancy went along nicely, with the couple wanting to wait until the baby's born to find out its genders. There had been some concerns- on Kol and Kai's part - that Evie could be carrying triplets as she herself was one; and Kai remembered how hard that particular pregnancy was for his mother, he didn't want that for his sister. However, their concerns were only slightly lessened with the first scan when it revealed that the Gemini Curse had struck again; Evie was carrying twins. After that scan, or even before that unconsciously, Evie had sworn to herself that her children will never go through or know the fear of The Merge, something that everyone agreed with her; for they knew how much it frightened her.
The aftermath of the first scan had filled Evie with love and frustration in equal measures, as Kai, Kol and Marcel had become extremely overprotective- more so if that could be believed - they had one of the vampires always following her around as she and Davina brought things for the quickly approaching wedding (items they didn't trust the men to get accurately).
Although, some good had come out of this arrangement as Evie and Davina had become very good friends with two new vampires, Josh and Holly or the Rosza twins as they dub themselves when up to mischief. Which brings us to now; Evie's Hen-Do, organised by one Davina Claire, held in Evie's house and attended by Josh and Holly. As Evie was now six months pregnant, Davina had decided to hold a soothing massage Hen-Do. They had professional maternity masseurs, who knew the best way to help pregnant women relax; candles lit around the living room with aroma candles mixed with normal ones creating a soothing and sweet smelling atmosphere that was good for both Evie and the babies.
There were face massages and facials; mud masks; mud baths upstairs (they hired someone to clean it after each use) and manicure and pedicures. It was all paid for by Kol and Marcel - both of whom had not only accumulated a lot of money over the centuries - but they also wanted only the best for Evie. A tray of nibbles made by Evie, along with drinks that were suitable for both Evie and Davina (one pregnant and one underage) and drinks mixed with blood for Josh and Holly were laid out on the coffee table.
