I'm just a Failure

The next day, Tomohiro was cooking breakfast as always for the five of us. "Hey, father, can I get some eggs?" Luke would asked me. "Ah, sure" I said giving him some of the eggs. Tomohiro smiled, "Y'all seem to finally get along well!" He smiled as I nodded chuckling a bit. "It's all thanks to you, Tomo" I said as Tomohiro smiled before continuing to cook. "Ah, big sister still sleeping" Mayu would say a bit sadly. "Ah, Carrie has been sleeping for a while. She's gonna be late for school" I said before slowly standing up. "Ah, it's fine! I can wake her up" Luke said quickly getting up before running off to her room. Well, I feel like it does make more sense for Luke to do it instead of me. After all, they did just move in not long ago, so I should be a bit more careful. "Speaking of which, you been acting a lot more fatherly lately" Tomohiro would say causing me to blush out of embarrassment. "W-What?! I-I...I just being nice" I would say while looking away embrassed. "Haha! Father embrassed! Father embrassed!" Mayu teased me causing me to groan.

"You're nothing but a failure! You can't even do one simple thing right! You can't clean up this mess, damn!" Father shouted before throwing a cigarette at my face, causing a burn mark on my cheek. "S-Sorry!" I panicked before quickly beginning to clean up the area more. "Shit, now you making more of a mess!" He shouted before grabbing me by the hair causing me to scream a bit. "You going back to the closet you slut!" He shouted before dragging me back to that closet. The closet full of sorrow and darkness, the place only where failure's like me were meant to be...

"Carrie...Carrie..." Luke would gently shake me awake. "Carrie..." His soft voice would speak. "L-Luke..." I slowly look at him before hugging him tightly sobbing. "L-Luke..." I couldn't say anything else but his name. I'm so pathetic, I always need someone by my side. "All I do is cause you trouble...I'm sorry" I whisper as Luke gently rubs my hair. "It's okay, we with a real family now. You, me, Mayu, Kevin, and Tomo" He simply said as I slowly nodded. Lately, my big brother has been changing. Before he's was cold-hearted around people, but now he completely change. It's like there was a light of hope in his eyes. I wonder, when will I start seeing it?

After a while, I could see both Carrie and Luke walk towards the kitchen. "Ah, morning, Carrie!" Tomohiro smiled while giving Carrie her food. "A-Ah, thank you" Carrie would say in a panic as she tries her best not to drop her food. "S-Sorry, I'm just-" Tomo lets out a chuckle as he shakes his head. "Don't worry, it's okay! If you make a mess, I'll clean it" He said as Carrie looks at Tomo in shock before slowly nodding. "So, he hurts her everytime she makes a mess?" I whisper to Luke as he slowly nodded frowning. "Out of all of us, Carrie dealt with the worse...I'm surprise she's staying strong" He said as I nodded. I gotta give Carrie credit, I could never pull it off like her. "Carrie-san!" Mayu hugs Carrie from behind. "Ah, Mayu-chan!" Carrie gently picks Mayu up  before hugging her laughing. "But, we also have Mayu, so maybe she was the key to keeping both of us strong" Luke said as I nodded looking at the two siblings with a soft smile. 

Afterwards, Carrie and Luke walked off to school while both me and Tomo walked Mayu to her school, gently holding her hand. "Hey hey, Mama!" Mayu would say to Tomo as he chuckles. "What is it dear?" He asked, I'm surprise he takes Mayu calling him mama very well. "Do you and papa love each other?" She asked as we both look at her in shock, our faces turning deep red. "W-Well, of course we mother and father, so we gotta love each other. We wouldn't have three gifted children if we didn't" Tomo smiled. Tomo just spilled our relationship to Mayu, crap! "B-But, make sure not to tell anyone about mama and papa relationship for now, okay?" I interred as Mayu looks at me confused. "But, isn't it normal for mama and papa to fall in love? Wouldn't the public accept it?" She asked as Tomo nodded. "True, but we super parents! And super parents keep secrets from the public" He said with a wink as Mayu looks at him in amazed. "Woahhhh! Cool!" She said while moving her arms around giggling. Me and Tomo took a breathe of relief, nice save!
