Me and Tomohiro decided to go to foster care the next day. We have to hide that we a gay couple, in this town they will bully all LGBT people. "..." I look at Tomohiro, he doesn't look afraid at all. It makes me smile, he used to be afraid but now he isn't. But due to both of our safety, we gotta keep it a secret.
"Welcome," An old woman looks at us with a smile. "Good evening, me and my friend are here to check out the place. You see, I'm thinking of taking care of a child with this guy...my ex broke up with me because I had a sex disease" He would say while frowning. The woman frowned gently putting her hand to his shoulder, "It's okay, I'm sure you'll find great children here" She'd say with a smile. Tomohiro's acting skills do become useful, that's what I love about him. It does suck that we gotta lie though, but it's for our and the children's sake.

The lady begins to show us the place, I couldn't help but think about my old childhood days. I'd mostly hang out with my mother, me and my father barely share any connection. I'm sure Tomohiro can feel that same feeling. "Oh?" Tomohiro looks at one of the children. She seems very happy and cheerful, she even helps an injured guy. "She's so sweet.." Tomohiro said looking at the women, she nodded. "Her name is Mayu, she and her two kids are very sweet...well for the older brother he can be a handful" She chuckled looking at the kid name Mayu. "Their parents were very abusive around them, mostly to the older brother," She said looking at the older brother. He was all alone in the corner crossing his arms. "As for the sister, the older one, she's very kind and respectful..but she does say sorry a lot," She said looking at the older sister. Me and Tomohiro could see a girl bowing her head repeating saying sorry, the others just made fun of her before running off.
"We should take them" Tomohiro would say in the bathroom while washing his hands. We asked the women to give us some alone time. "Tomo, even if we do, it's gonna be hard for them and us. They dealt with an abusive past, no to mention...our relationship" I whisper the last part to him as he nodded looking down. "I know...I know, but they don't deserve sadness anymore, I wanna make them happy" He said looking at me straight in the eyes, his eyes are full of determination, just like a couple of years ago...our high school year when we both started dating. I couldn't help but smile, "Okay you got me, let's adopt them" I'd say with a smile.

It honestly took a while...six months actually before we had the kids. "You know, all of them checking my record was embarrassing" I'd say scratching the back of my hair. Tomohiro smiled, "Thank you for cleaning up the house" He'd say as I look down blushing. Beside me was one of the little kids, Mayu. Right beside Tomohiro was Carrie who was messing with her fingers and hair nervously. And right behind us was the brother, Luke, who was crossing his arms. "You better know what you doing, punks". And I already hate him, but I gotta keep my cool.
"Well, y'all can relax and-" Luke scolded. "God, the foster care was way here then here. The house so small and weird" He'd say throwing his bags on the floor. "..." I could feel anger rise from my body, but I didn't respond. Tomohiro smiled, "I'm sorry that you don't like it, I hope you get used to it" Tomohiro would say while smiling. I don't know how Tomo can keep his cool, but he does. "T-Thank you for having us here, and I'm sorry that my brother like this" Carrie smiled as I chuckle. "You don't have to apologize for everything, Carrie" I smiled as she looks at me in surprise before nodding. "I can't wait!" Mayu smiled cheerfully, she was honestly my emotional support right now, especially around Luke.

Tomohiro begins to cook for the kids. "What'd y'all like to eat?" Tomohiro would ask. "I'd like some um...chicken and salad" Carrie smiled. "I would like some fries" Luke would say leaning back against the wall. "Rice! I'd love some rice" Mayu smile hugging Tomohiro legs. Tomo couldn't help but chuckle, "Okay, Mayu, but please sit down in the living room. It's too dangerous being here" Tomohiro would say as Mayu nodded running back to the living room. It's already the first day having these kids here and it's already loud and energetic, but I was expecting this. "Oh, starting next week y'all going to a new school" Tomohiro would say while cooking. "WHAT?! Then I'm skipping! School is for the lame!" Luke would say crossing his arms. However, Carrie and Mayu seem very excited and cheered. "..." The brother looks at the two before looking down in defeat, I guess he's gonna go to school at some point. "You know, going to school can be a good thing," I said while looking at Tomo blushing. "I guess" Luke shrugged standing up. "I going to a room, call me when dinner ready" Luke would say with a bit of an attitude before walking off. "...This kid..." I mumble to myself before looking at Tomo, you are so amazing dealing with people like him, Tomo...

Me and Tomohiro were cuddling shirtless as always. The three kids were in another room sleeping. Me and him kept a close eye on them until they fall asleep before walking to our room. "Tomo, you happy?" I whisper in his ear as he nodded smiling. "Yes, these kids finally get to know what a family is, even though two fathers are taking good care of them" Tomohiro would say with a smile. I nodded holding his hand gently, "But at some point, we gotta tell them" I said as Tomohiro nodded looking down. "They'll understand someday, but we can't tell them today...we came so far" Tomohiro would say looking at the ceiling, I can sense some sadness in his tone. "Tomohiro, I love you," I said as Tomohiro smiled looking at me, "I love you too". We both share a kiss before slowly falling asleep. We both are now fathers, I'm honestly excited but yet so nervous, I hope we'll be good fathers to them.
