Chapter 40

"You really scared me. I can't bare the thought of losing you, Y/N... I love you so much..." he said. "I love you too, Draco... and you're not going to lose me..." I said. He pulls away and looks into my eyes. "Promise?" He said. "I promise..." I said, nodding my head. He nods his head and smile softly at me. He leans down and place a soft kiss on my lips. I wrap my arms around his neck, kissing him back.

-Reaching Out To Eleven-

Y/N P.O.V

I try testing my abilities to make sure I really have them back. But the one ability in more eager to try more than the others are my telepathy. I want to try calling out for my sister El.

I sit down on the grass outside of Hogwarts. I close my eyes and focus on my sister's mind. I can already feel the blood dripping down my nose. But I ignore it and continue to focus.

El... I said. All I receive back was silence. I open my eyes and sigh softly. I run my hand through my hair, sighing frustratedly. Looks like not all of my ability have returned yet. I move to stand up. Then I head inside the building.

Y/N? I suddenly hear, just as I was about to enter the building. My eyes widened when I hear the familiar voice in my head. I close my eyes once again as I try to focus on El.

Oh my God, El? Is that really you?? I said. Y/N! Oh my God... what's wrong with you?? You never reach out to me... I thought something bad had happened to you! She said. My hand went up to my lips as I try to stop myself from crying.

Oh, El... I am so sorry. I tried... I really tried. But I don't know... my abilities just seem to fade. I just got them back... I said. What do you mean fade? She said. I don't know... just... gone! I tried everything I can to get them back but nothing. I don't know why they resurface now... I said. I can hear her sighing in my head.

Okay... that doesn't matter... I miss you, Y/N. When will you try to come back here? She said, referring to Hawkins. I will soon... I miss you too, El... but I need to train first. I just got my abilities back. I'm not stable... I need to relearn how to control them before coming back to you... I said. Can you open the portal then? I'll come to you instead... she said. I don't think that's a good idea, El... I'm worried that I might lose control and attack you... I said. I can hear her groan.

Come on, Y/N! Please? You know I can take care of myself... we've been separated for over a year now! I don't wanna wait any longer... I need to see you... she said, I can hear the desperation in her voice as she begged me. I let out a sigh. Alright... I'll try to open the portal now... I said. Finally! Thank you, Y/N... she said. I can hear the excitement in her voice. I just smile softly and I walk towards an open space in Hogwarts.

I take a deep breath and outstretch my hand. I focus on opening the portal. The portal starts opening, but it burst. I breathe heavily as I fall on my knees. I take another deep breath and stand up to try again. But I only get the same result.

I'm sorry, El... I'm not strong enough yet... I said. I can hear her sighing. Alright... it's okay... at least you're back now. You have no idea how worried I felt she said. I'm sorry, El... I said. You're alright... that's all I care about now... she said. I miss you, El... I promise I'll come back to you as soon as I recover... I said. Okay, sis... I'll be waiting... she said. I can feel her smiling in my head.

Suddenly I feel dizzy. I place my hand on my head. El... I'm sorry I can't stay any longer... my head hurts... I said. Okay... ta- everything around turns black before she could finish her sentence.

At Hawkins

El P.O.V

I was overwhelmed with joy when I finally hear Y/N's voice again. I asked her if she could open the portal so I can go to Hogwarts to see her. But seems like she can't do it, seeing how her abilities just got back. So just assured her she was fine.

Then she told me she's feeling dizzy. She already use to much when her abilities just returned. I asked her to take care of herself, but before I could finish my sentence... the connection between us have been cut off.

Y/N? Y/N!! What's wrong? Hey! Answer me!!  I call out. But got no respond from her. She must've pass out. Oh God... please be okay, Y/N. I just heard from you again after over a year... I don't want to lose you again.

Back at Hogwarts

Draco P.O.V

As soon as the lesson is over. I gather all of my stuff and leave the class. I need to see Y/N. So I searched around Hogwarts to look for her. But there's no sign of her. I come across a student.

"Wait... have you seen, Y/N?" I asked. "Oh... I saw her walking out of Hogwarts... right that way..." he said, pointing towards a certain direction. "Alright. Thanks..." I said. I turn to the direction and start to walk there.

I look around the place to search for my girlfriend. But I didn't see her anywhere. "Y/N!! Where are you?" I called out. But I got no response. I turn around and was about to head back in, when I saw something... no someone, laying on the ground. I squint my eyes to see the person. My eyes widened when I realize who it was.

"Y/N!!" I yelled. I run towards her and kneels down next to her. I cradle her in my arms. I place my hand on her cheek. "Hey... Y/N? Can you hear me? Wake up!" I said, tapping her cheek softly. But she didn't respond. I notice the blood dripping down her nose. She must have been using her abilities.

I place one of  my hand on the back of her knees and the other on her back. I move to stand up with her in my arms. Then I head inside Hogwarts and make my way to the Hospital Wings.

Along the way I come across the trio. They look at Y/N who's still unconscious in my arms. "What wrong? What happened to her, Malfoy?" Harry said. "I don't know... when I found her, she's already unconscious" I said. "Well... what are we waiting for? Let's take her to the hospital wings..." Hermione said, urging me to go now. I nod my head and starts walking again.

After a while of walking, I finally reach the hospital wings. Harry helps me open the door. I make my way inside and gently lay Y/N down in one of the beds.

Madam Pomfrey walks towards me. "Oh dear. What happened to her?" She asked. "I'm not sure... when I found her, she's already in this condition. But seeing how her nose bleeds. I think it's safe to say that she overused her abilities..." I said, gently holding Y/N's hand. She hummed and went over to check on Y/N. Starting with her pulse and eyes.

"She just needs to take some rest. Don't worry. She'll wake up soon..." she said. I just nod my head, feeling relieved that my girlfriend will be alright. She smiles and gently pat my shoulder, then she walks away.

I pull the blanket up to her neck. Then I take a seat on the chair. I move it closer to her bed and gently take her hand in mind. I lift it up to my lips and kiss her knuckles softly.

"You just love to make me feel worried..." I said in a low tone. I watch as her chest rise and fall with every breath she take. I let out a sigh and place my head on the bed. I'll probably get a neck pain from sleeping in this position, but I don't care. I wanna be here when she wakes up. I just close my eyes and let myself fall into deep slumber, with my hand still attached with Y/N's warm ones.
