"Good job!" Andy commented after clapping her hands. Nakahalukipkip na ang babae ngayon at nakasandal pa sa pader na gawa sa kahoy habang tuwang-tuwang pinapanood ang nakatulala kong sarili.
We are currently stationed at the end of the empty hallway. The open space directed to our department's concert hall spewed some natural light, reaching us three. I could even see our three shadows talking.
There were no other traces of other students left as we were already dismissed. Hindi ko na rin alam kung nasaan na si Laura dahil biglaan na lang akong hinatak ng dalawang ito palayo sa kaniya. I also couldn't even have the chance to contact her because the two girls just kept on distracting me.
"Now... all you have to do is finish the rest of your sessions with Madame Constance and stick with us 'all the time,'" ani Reganne. She whistled again in another teasing tone, and I just suppressed my urge to get irritated.
"Tell me the plan, then! How am I supposed to focus when I don't know where all of these would go? Baka nakakalimutan ninyong nagawa ninyo akong traydurin? How could I trust you that your plan would one hundred percent work—"
"Patience, Sitti. Stop talking about the future or else..." Andy cut my unending rant. She finally stood up and ate the distance that separated us from each other.
Sumunod naman sa pag-abante niya si Reganne.
"Or else?" I firmly uttered, equalling their threat.
"Or else, you'll fail!" Andy replied before synchronizing with Reganne's chuckle.
Napapikit ako dahil sa inis at saka napahinga nang malalim. Halos masinghot ko na rin ang nakahihilong pabangong suot-suot ng dalawa. They smelled like vanilla, but, for me, they reeked of the smell of stagnant mosquito waters.
"Kaya... kalmahan mo lang..." Reganne suggested as she wrapped both of her hands around my arms.
I felt an irritating burn. I cringed so hard that my little hair rose on my skin.
"Makukuha mo rin ang gusto mo..." Reganne added while staring softly at me.
I rolled my eyes before shaking her hands off of my body.
Napataas naman sa ere ang magkabilang kamay ng babae dahil sa biglaang pagkilos ko.
"Fine," I concluded before removing my line of vision from them. Hinigpitan ko pa ang pagkakakapit ko sa hawakan ng aking tote bag.
Patience, Sitti... Wala ka naman nang magagawa dahil nakuha na ng iba ang pinakagusto mong lead role. Tapos ka na roon. Why not trust the other plan this time?
Everything will be good soon. Everything will finally be in your favor.
Andy and Reganne finally left after minutes of talking. The hallway now sounded emptier, and it highlighted my being alone. I could even hear the screeching of my shoes on the marble floor. The slow tempo of my footsteps even echoed inside as I tried to bring the building back to life.
Nang malampasan ko na ang malaking pinto ay sumalubong agad sa akin ang simoy ng papadilim na hapon. Kumapit ang lamig nito sa balat ko habang tinatanaw ko ang school fountain na tila nagiging anino na dahil sa natitirang liwanag sa alapaap.
The familiarity of the spot toggled the gate within me to open. A feeling of longing flowed out of it. It pooled within me, and it almost leaked into my eye hole.
