D day

"Today's the big day guys" Niko said as he had chugged his Redbull. You could tell that all of the caffeine went straight into his system cause he was over the moon.
"Yes oh my gosh. Y/N we are fucking competing in the FINALS TONIGHTTTTTT" Elin said and looked at y/n. Y/n and Elin had played together for a pretty long time, but never in any type of contest nor concert THIS big. Millions and millions of people will be watching. The rehearsal for Blind Channel was at 12.30 p.m, and y/n and Elin had yours at 1 p.m.
"So do y'all wanna come backstage with us during our rehearsal gig?" Tommi said and looked at the Two of you.
"Yes of course!" y/n said as she got eye contact with Joel once again.
As they said Yes, his eyes enlightened.
"Well then we better get our asses going cause we're on in 10 minutes!" Olli said and started packing his gear.
"Oh fuck." Joel rushed into the bathroom to finish his look before it was showtime.
Y/n and Elin also packed their gear since they were on pretty shortly after. The two of them hadn't really heard Blind Channel's song before, only the chorus. They had been too busy last night trying to find the right lounge - which was the wrong lounge; but yet again, now they would be able to hear the whole song and performance.

~ backstage ~
the guys gathered into a circle before it was their cue. They held each other's shoulders and Niko screamed out "EVERY PSYCHO IN THE SEA HANDS UP AND FOLLOW ME, sing it"
And they all answered with the *HOO HOO HOO*, just as Elin and Y/n had heard the day before. It was so cute. They were so hyped up. Aleksi was quietly drumming on the wall as a warm-up and banging his head softly back and forth as an attempt to get the rhytm in.
"Blind Channel, Finland welcome on stage" a screeching speaker called out.
"GOOD LUCK GUYS" y/n screamed after them as they ran.
"YOULL SLAY" Elin joined in.
Joel turned around and looked their way. He smiled and winked his eye as he turned back and ran up on stage.
The stage became completely dark.
*intro to Dark Side starts to play*
The stage became red.
*poof*
"PUT YOUR MIDDLEFINGERS UP [..]" Niko and Joel started singing as they jumped around on their stage. It was all chaotic- but in a gracious way.
You could tell that they had been on stages before cause they took it with storm.
Elin turned towards y/n.
"OH MY GOD DO YOU HEAR THIS!!! THEYRE AMAZING"
"I KNOW RIGHT?!" y/n answered as they both started to vibe with the song.
Joel had probably had his eye out for the two of them because as they started to vibe to the music; he turned their way and pointed in their direction. He smiled and winked. He looked so happy that they liked the song, that they were into it, that they felt the music like they did.

~ Elin's POV ~
The song-
Wow.
Her and y/n didn't know what to expect before the first tones started playing, but: wow.
She turned her head from Joel, to the back. There he was. Aleksi. He was standing on his little platform with his music gear.
He was so into the music.
His whole body moved to the tunes.
His head banging like a true rock star.
The way he slammed the drumgear to his right. So neat and precise, yet so aggressively.
The way he looked.
The way his black hair moved as he moved. The way it lied on his face.
Him.
He was so perfect.
Elin studied Aleksi as he did his thing, which he noticed as he looked to his left onto the backstage area where Elin and y/n were standing.
He met Elin's gaze upon him and smiled his cute smile at her. He seemed so happy.

~ y/n's POV ~
"Empire of the freaks all drinks on MEEEE" Joel and Niko growled out as the song finished and the stage turned dark again. You could hear Joel breathing in the mic as he started to walk off stage towards the backstage area.
"Fuck me that stage is BOILING" he said as he entered backstage. He took a water bottle which stood on some music gear and cracked the lid open. He began to pour the water onto himself to cool himself down.
His wet hair that lied to perfectly.
The way the water dropped off of his face.
The look on his face as he put down the bottle again.
*Is he even real?* y/n thought to themself as they studied ever contour of Joel's face.
"YALL- THAT WAS AMAZING " Elin broke the silence to cheer them on.
"YES LIKE THIS IS MY NEW FAVOURITE SONG" y/n tuned in and smiled at the band.
"Thank you ladies" [or preferred pronounced :)]  Aleksi answered as he took the water bottle aswell and drank some from.
Y/n wanted to say more. That performance was the definition of rock n roll. But the look of Joel just made them completely quiet.
"Hey you're up!" Niko said and clapped their shoulders as a sign to give them pep.
"WOHOOO" Aleksi bursted out as he cheered Elin and y/n on as they entered the stage.

It's time. D day.
~ Elin and Y/n starts to play their song ~
It's time for y/n to sing the first verse. The first time that Joel, Niko, Aleksi, Joonas, Olli and Tommi will hear them.
*please like it* y/n thinks as they take the first tone.

Immediately both Elin and y/n hear how the guys starts hyping them up from backstage. Buried behind y/n's and Elin's vocals you can pick up a "WOHOO" or "TELL EM" from Joel.
he's so sweet.

~ Aleksi's POV ~
Y/n sings so good. She hit every note so perfectly. And Elin- the way she plays the guitar. Wow.
He was beyond amazed as he studies the two of them rooming the stage as if it was D Day.
All off a sudden the chorus changes to another verse, and this time it isn't Y/n's vocals that are sounding throughout the arena. It's Elin's.
Aleksi stops completely and just studies her.
He couldn't believe his ears.
All along he thought that Elin was 'just' the guitar player of the duo; but she SINGS TOO.
The next chorus, both y/n and Elin were singing together and Aleksi looked at Joel, who looked at Aleksi. They didn't say a word but they both could read their eyes. "Wow"

The song ends as the sound of the guitar slowly fades.
Elin and y/n walks backstage again and meets ghe boys.
Aleksi looks at them with joyful puppy eyes and holds his hands upon his head as if he doenst know what to do nor to say.
"OH MY HOLY MOTHER OF I DONT EVEN KNOW-" Aleksi utters and smiles. "That was fucking AMAZEBALLS!"

~ a moment of cheering and joyful laughter takes place as the both bands settles down. Time to get back to the lounge to prepare for tonight.
It's showtime!

This is probably the longest one yet hahahaha.
I just really needed to write this cause I could just imagine this actually happening owo.
