Chapter 8: Rodan's Backstory

Rodan's POV

As I was flying home with my new girlfriend, White Rodan, we stopped for a drink at Adonoa Island. "So, when did you want to become King of the Monsters?" she asked. "Well, it started about 236,000,000 years ago. It started as a little game me and my friends Godzilla and Anguirus made. Little did we know, it would soon turn to reality when Godzilla became king." I explained.

About 236,000,000 years ago...

"Hey guys, let's play, "King of the Monsters"!" Godzilla said. "How do you play?" Anguirus asked. "It's kinda like Simon Says, only "Simon" is king and you have to do the orders or you're out." Godzilla explained. "That sounds nice." I said. Godzilla was the king, and we had to do the orders. "I order you guys to pick your noses." Godzilla said. We followed suite. "Okay, now burn that tree down." Godzilla ordered. "No way man." I said, "ANGUIRUS?!" I saw Anguirus setting a tree on fire. "What?" he asked. "Rodan, you're out." Godzilla said, "Anguirus, you're king."

Back in the present...

"So, you guys started a parody of Simon Says, and it got out of hand?" White Rodan said. "Yes." I replied, "Later, we made another friend. One that Godzilla married in the future."

About 206,000,001 years ago...

We decided to play a new game. King of the Monsters got real boring. Soon, we met a girl. "Can I join you guys?" she asked. As I talked it over with Anguirus, Godzilla said she could. "Got any games?" he asked. "How about Hide and Seek?" she asked.

Later...

As Mothra counted, we hid. "I kinda wanna be found by Mothra." Godzilla whispered to me. "That's kind of an awkward thing to say, Godzilla." I replied. After Mothra found Anguirus, I switched my hiding spot, but got caught as I emerged. "Is Godzilla there?" she asked. "No." I said nervously. "Sic 'em." Mothra said abruptly. I got pounced on from Anguirus. After a series of asking where Godzilla was, I revealed his hiding spot. After Anguirus got off, I heard Godzilla facepalm.

Back in the present...

"So, they got married as soon as they were old enough?" White Rodan said. "Well, After Mothra left for Infant Island for important stuff, Godzilla slowly forgot about Mothra. She reminded him of her on one of their dates I snuck to." I explained. "That's pretty creepy Rodan." White Rodan replied. "Oh extremely. I almost got caught a shocking number of times."

1,384 years ago...

I attended Godzilla's coronation. A little sad he never saw his old childhood friend, Mothra, but at least his dream came true. After the coronation, I cried myself to sleep for 2 months. I knew I'd never become king, and my dreams would never come true. So, I gave up on them as soon as I realized I needed to grow up. I wasn't very tough, so I began sleeping in a volcano to make up for it, and to distract me from the pain with 1,250 degree C pain to replace it. I also began living by myself. I wanted to be tough and hardened (literally) titan.
