Chapter 4

"They're gone" Archie stated after he saw Chibs and Tig leave on their bikes. He however didn't notice them coming back in the van. But that was of course the intention of the two.

"What happened, aunt M? I thought Jax was cool" Archie asked his aunt. "I don't know. He suddenly acted really weird, saying I was his and that I couldn't go anywhere without an escort. Almost like it was his duty to protect me. He did say that as well. It was just really odd." "That does sound weird." Archie confirmed.

"Too bad" Rory said. "Huh?" Michelle asked her niece. "Well, it seemed that he was really kind to you before that happened and you let him touch you the entire time. It really seemed that you enjoyed the time with him" "I did, really. I have no idea why I felt so at ease with him. I almost felt bad leaving him there in the store" "maybe you should give him another chance?" Rory carefully asked.

"Why should she? He sent two of those bikers after us." Archie protested. "I think it's best if we just keep our distance" He added. "I'll think about it, okay? You guys don't have to worry about anything. What do you want to eat for dinner?" "Please make your spaghetti" Archie told his aunt. "Yes please!" Rory added. "Spaghetti it is then. Want to come to the store with me?" "Sure, let's go" Archie said while Rory nodded.

Getting into Archie's car, the trio went to the grocery store to get the ingredients for Michelle's famous spaghetti. Unfortunately for them, Chibs and Tig had told Gemma where they were going and she coincidentally had to get some stuff for the dinner tonight, hopefully going to convincing her future daughter-in-law to still join them.

"Oh hey guys, what are you doing here?" Gemma asked, acting as if Jax hadn't told her. "We're getting dinner for tonight" Archie told the woman. "Oh I thought you were going to join us at my house" Gemma said, still acting as if she didn't know. It made Michelle feel bad about not coming. "Uh me and Jax had a bit of a fight so I thought it wouldn't be appropriate for us to come tonight." She told the older woman. "Nonsense, Jackson will only be there later tonight. If you want, you can leave as soon as he comes." "But I-" "no buts, I'm not taking a no for an answer. You'll still get dessert right?" "I-" "great! This is my address. I know Jax would have picked you up tonight. Be there at 5. Bye!" Gemma said before quickly leaving.

"What just happened?" Michelle asked out loud. "That woman is good" Archie commented. "So I guess we're going?" Rory asked. "I guess" Michelle replied "Are you alright with that?" "Yeah, we'll just go when Jax arrives" Archie said to which Rory agreed.

After quickly getting the stuff for dessert, Michelle noticed it was already 5. "We better go there straight away. I don't want to know what that woman does to people who are late" Michelle said, driving towards the address she was given by the woman.

Arriving there, Michelle, Rory and Archie noticed a lot of bikes out front. "Are we at the right place?" She asked the two kids. "I guess-" "Aye lass, you coming out the car?" The trio was interrupted by the loud voice of Chibs. The man Michelle had awkwardly called the cops on. "God, please get me out of this situation" Michelle murmured making Archie and Rory laugh as they knew exactly what their aunt was referring to.

"Hey Chibs" Michelle said while she got out of the car. The Scotsman was obviously waiting for them. "Hey sweetheart" came from behind Chibs. Tig. Jesus Christ can it get any worse?! "Hey Tig. Okay, this is awkward. Look, I'm partially sorry for calling the cops on you but in my defense, I just argued with Jax about exactly that and suddenly you're there keeping an eye on us." "No hard feelings, princess." Tig told her, smiling gently. "Agreed. But maybe you should give Jackie boy another chance?" Chibs added. "Please, let's not talk about that now" Michelle pleaded. "Alright. Let's just go in then. Lasses first" Chibs told her and Rory.

"Ah You're here! Perfect! And you actually brought dessert. You're definitely a keeper" Gemma said when she saw her future in-laws entering her house along with Chibs and Tig. "Let me introduce you to everyone." Gemma said, practically shoving the three towards the dining room. "You can take a seat right here" She added, pointing towards the three empty seats. There was only one empty seat left after Michelle and the kids had taken their seats and she assumed it was Jax's. "Everyone! These are Michelle, Rory and Archie. Michelle, Rory, Archie these are Opie, his wife Donna, their kids Ellie and Kenny, Piney, Happy, Juice, Kozik, my husband Clay and you met Chibs and Tig already." Everyone's attention was on the three of them, but mostly on Michelle as she was to be their future Luna. "Hi, nice to meet you" Michelle said, while Archie and Rory waved slightly.

The dinner had went by smoothly. Michelle really enjoyed talking to Opie and Donna and surprisingly got along well with Clay and Gemma. Rory was also really enjoying her talks with Gemma but could also talk a lot to Happy. Archie was a bit reserved after the events of today but he couldn't deny that he was having fun with Chibs and Tig.

But then Jax arrived. Seeing his mate and her niece and nephew at the table having fun with his pack made him really happy. But he knew he had to talk to her. His mom told him she had told his mate that she could leave if he arrived but he didn't want her to go.

"Darlin', can we talk?" He asked her, interrupting the conversation she was having with Rory and his mother. Looking at the expectant faces of her niece and Gemma, Michelle hesitantly agreed, allowing Jax to help her out of her chair and guide her towards the backyard with his hand on the small of her back.

"Did you have fun tonight?" He asked her when they were alone. "Yeah, I did" Michelle nervously said, putting a loose strand behind her ear. "Look babe I'm sorry. It's just- I-" "What is happening to me, Jax? Why do I have this feeling I need to forgive you right away and let you hold me?" The bond was really working fast. Must be because he's an alpha and soon THE alpha. "Because we are meant to be, babe. You were made for me. I'm here to stay. I'm here for you, Rory, Archie, anything you need. I just need you to be safe and sound. Your happiness is one of my main priorities but your safety is my number one priority. I get that you don't want an escort anywhere but I need you to be safe." "Why?" "Just- promise you won't freak out" "I promise" Michelle told him. Not really knowing what was coming.

"I'm a werewolf and you're my mate." "Really? That's what you're going to go with?" "I'm serious darlin'." "Jesus Jax, I'm not an idiot. Werewolves don't exist." "Don't say I didn't warn you" he said before stripping and actually turning into a freaking werewolf. "What the fuck?! No no no no no" "babe?" Jax asked, after turning back human. "No! Rory! Archie! We're leaving. Now!"
