Chapter 5

"Aunt Michelle?" Rory asked confused. "We need to go. Now!" Michelle said again rushing into the house, making Archie quickly stand up as well as Rory. The pack's attention on their future Luna who was clearly freaking out about something. "Babe! You promised you wouldn't freak out! Please, talk to me darlin'." Jax pleaded, quickly following after Michelle. "I don't have anything to say to you. Ever again. Stay the hell away from us." Michelle told him, close to tears, before slamming the front door behind her, getting into Archie's car and driving home.

"What happened, baby?" Gemma carefully asked Jax, seeing the broken look on her son's face. "She asked me why she felt like she should forgive me and let me hold her so I told her we were werewolves and she is my mate but she didn't believe me. I showed her, but it only made things worse. She wants nothing to do with me, ma" Jax said, letting a tear slide down his face.

"She'll come around, baby. If she asked you about her feelings she must be feeling the bond already. She's just confused." Gemma told her son, trying to reassure him. "Happy, Kozik, can you go keep an eye on her? Be subtle cause she ain't afraid of calling the cops." Gemma warned them. "You got it" Kozik said before leaving with Happy to keep their future Luna safe.

"Did she have a good time tonight besides that?" Jax asked his mom, really wanting his mate to have had a good time with his pack. She had told him she had enjoyed it but it wouldn't hurt to check. "She did. She talked with Clay and me a lot and I believe she made some plans to go shopping with Donna soon." "Really?" He asked, eyes lighting up at the thought of her happiness. "Yeah, we were going to go shopping soon with Rory and Ellie." Donna confirmed. "That's good to hear" Jax said smiling at his beta's wife.

His slight happiness was however interrupted by a phone call from Happy. "What's up Hap?" Jax asked, answering the call. "They're not here." came Happy's short reply, making Jax go through an emotional rollercoaster. "Brother, what's wrong?" Opie asked him after seeing him paling. "Michelle's not at home" he said, trying to think of where she could've gone to. "What?" "She's not there, Ope. Fuck! What if something happened to her? I shouldn't have let her go!" Jax said, throwing the glass Michelle had used against the wall making it shatter in pieces.

"Listen up! Your future Luna is missing. I want everyone looking for her right now. What are you waiting for?!" Everyone shot up and went to their motorcycles. This was serious. Meanwhile Gemma had called Wayne to ask his men to keep an eye out for her as well to which Wayne immediately agreed. "Everyone's out there looking for her. Can one of you stay there in case she comes home?" Jax asked Happy. "Got it, boss" Happy said before hanging up.

Jax went to look for her as well but it seemed he didn't have much luck. If only Jax had marked her already they would've found her easily as she would carry his strong scent.

Michelle, Rory and Archie were at a diner in a town close by. Michelle had the feeling they would be followed if they would go home so she drove them to a diner a town over so they could talk freely.

"What was Jax talking about, aunt M?" Rory asked, finally. She had never seen her aunt that distraught. She and Archie had silently agreed to not ask questions until they saw that Michelle was doing better. "I have no idea what the hell just happened, guys. This is going to sound crazy but he turned into a freaking wolf" "wait, what? You okay, aunt M?" Archie asked finding it very hard to believe. "I swear it was real. I have no idea how or why but he said I was his mate, whatever that means." "That's so romantic!" Rory commented, making Archie and Michelle look at her like she was crazy. "Rory, what the hell? He's a beast. We should stay away" Archie commented. "I'm sorry for making us move her and letting all this happen to you auntie M." "Don't you dare apologize, Arch! None of this is your fault and we'll figure out how to tackle this as well, alright? What do you say, why don't we go and visit grandma in Washington for the weekend?"

"Mrs. Teller" was heard from behind them. It was chief Unser, the police officer that was at her house earlier that day. "Miss Valentine" Michelle corrected looking warily at the man that was joining them in their booth. "Not for long, sweetheart. You know that as well. Now what did I just hear about you going to visit someone in Washington without Jax?" "What the-" Archie started before being interrupted by Wayne "you know he only wants what's best for all three of you. He is your mate, sweetheart, he'll be their uncle soon enough" "dude!" Archie interrupted. "Leave my aunt alone. She's not married to Jax and she never will be. What the hell is wrong with the people in Charming? They just met today!" "That's long enough for him to know she's his mate, son. You don't want to stand between an alpha and his mate. Especially not between Jax and his mate." "Why's that?" Archie grumbled out, angry at the world because of the events of today. "Jax is Vice President of the Sons Of Anarchy. Which means he's not afraid of some bloodshed. Why do you think we didn't act against Tig and Chibs when they were looking out for you?" "Excuse me?" Michelle asked, shocked. "We are not going to interfere between Jax and his mate. You usually don't interfere between alpha's and their mates but if we would between you and Jax, heads will roll"

"Oh my god" "what is it sweetheart?" "I brought my niece and nephew to dinner with a fucking gang and moved them to a town where not even the police will stop them. I'm the worst guardian ever" Michelle said, with her head in her hands. "He would never hurt you, sweetheart. Nor would he ever hurt the kids. You three are the most important people on this world to him." "Auntie M, I'm scared" Rory said, honestly. "It's okay sweetheart. I won't ever let anything happen to you, alright?" Michelle said extremely serious while taking her niece's hands in hers. "Same goes for you, Arch" she told him taking one of his hands. "You're stuck with me, alright?" She told the both of them, laughing a bit.

"Can we still visit grandma?" Rory asked. "Of course sweetheart" Michelle assured Rory. "Why don't we go home and pack some clothes, then we can go to grandma's" Michelle told her. "I have to tell him, Michelle" Unser told her. "You do you" she told him before saying "Let's go" to Archie and Rory.

When they were on their way to their house, they were suddenly being tailed by a couple of bikers. Michelle immediately recognized them Chibs and Tig but Kozik and Juice were there as well. "Don't you guys feel important now?" Michelle joked, getting a small laugh from both Rory and Archie.

Arriving back at their house seeing Happy there as well, Michelle told Rory and Archie "Go pack your stuff, alright? I'll go talk to them" "you want me to help, aunt M?" "No thanks macho man, I'll be alright" She told Archie, ruffling his hair before sending him and his sister inside.

"Can I help you with anything?" Michelle asked the four bikers with her arms crossed. "You can't worry Jacky boy like that, lass" Chibs told her. "He was devastated when you walked out on him" Tig said. "He's on his way now. Unser told us you want to go to Washington with the kids so he went to grab his stuff. We'll be joining as well" Tig added.

"No you're not" Michelle told them. "Who the hell do you think you are?" She asked them getting angry. Suddenly she felt a hand on her waist calming her down instantly before hearing "calm down, darlin'. They just want to keep you safe, just like I do"
