Beetlejuice and The daughter of Lydia

The netherworld

Narrator's Pov~

Beetlejuice returns to the hospital in his human form.

"Hello Lydia, how is she?" The demon asked the mother who are both worried out of their minds.

"She hasn't been eating. Probably because that dick Vince always body shamed her. I just wish she came to me. She is an exact replica of me when I was a 15 year old girl."

"You didn't eat? Why not?" Beetlejuice now worried about both the girl he loves and her mother.

"I just didn't wanna, but that was years ago." Lydia brushes it off. Layla starts to wake up.

"Beej! Mom!" The daughter sees her best friend and mom.

"Layla Deetz. Why wouldn't you tell me you weren't eating!?" The demon exclaims.

"Uh cause I really uh like someone and I didn't think I was um good enough." Layla says trying not to make beej burst into compliments, or make her mother ask questions. But they both still did.

"Ouuu who do you like!?" Her mother bud in.

"And lies you are perfect just how you are Babes." The demon said to Layla.

"Um this girl named smoke... from my math and art class." She had to come up with something quick.

"Smoke is her first name?" The curious mom asks. Beetlejuice snickers.

"Uh... wellllll, her name is Emily. But Smoke is easier so then we know who I'm talking about." Layla now thinking about her dead best friend and if she'll ever see Emily again.

Time goes by, and it's midnight 

Beetlejuice's Pov~ 

I'm woken up to the sound of Layla's monitor beeping. I wake up Lydia, worried af. I rub my eyes and on the monitor her oxygen is depleting and her heart rate. Crap she is dying, she can't die... I can't go back. Juno won't let me even if Layla is in the netherworld. 

"NURSE! SHE ISN'T BREATHING!" I look over to Lydia and she is frozen staring at her daughter. The doctor runs in and starts chest compressions, I feel for a moment a soul leave the building but I couldn't tell if it was hers. I would've seen her leave her body but she didn't. 

"Time of death 12:19am." I see Lydia in the corner of my eye fall to her knees sobbing. I run to her and comfort her. I really didn't know how I felt, I can't feel many things but Layla made me have emotions. It's like a god damn roller coaster. 

Layla's Pov~ 

Suddenly I can't breathe and all I feel is numb. Nothing. I see black. Am I dead? If I am, then I can see her... and be with him! I walk around for a little and I see doors, so many doors. Wait... this is the netherworld, woah it's so cool! I could get used to this. I see a faint figure down the hall. I can't make out who or what it is so I walk closer. It... no way... it's not possible. 

"Layla? What are you doing down here?" 

"I-... uh... Emily..." I can't think straight. Is this a mirage? Or my imagination?

"Yep that's me." 

"Really!?" I yell, I'm still a bit far from her. I froze, I wanted to run and hug her but I'm in shock. I thought I'd never see her again, never talk to her again, never be able to say goodbye. 

"Yeah Layla." Her voice soothes me. I dart towards her hugging her tight as tears stroll down my face. She wipes my tears from my face and kiss my forehead. She puts her hand on my cheek and I smile. "You can't stay dead Layla. People need you."

"What! That's no fair people needed you but you stayed why?" 

"I didn't get a second chance at life, you should take it. I hear you found someone. Hmmmm?" She asks wanting me to spill all the tea while I'm still there.

"Uh yeah, how do you know?" I'm still very confused at all this. 

"He is a very known demon. For him to choose a human over the netherworld shocked many of us. It took me a while to realize you were that human. Only you could change a demon. He is completely different from what I've heard. I'm glad you have him." She smiles, oh how I've missed that smile. Her watch buzzs. "Hey our time is up, Juno wants to talk. Let's properly say goodbye this time."

"What NO! I wanna stay with you." Just a little longer... "But we all can be happy here you, bj and I!" Oh wait... Beej can't come back, I break down into tears. The thought of never seeing him again is worse then anything. 

"You know you can't lovebug." Suddenly I have this wave of memories and my life flashes before my life. I see him... crying... He is my home, but she is my paradise. Not everyone gets paradise. "You have to go back. Just know I'll always be with you." Another tear strolls down my face.

"Goodbye Millie..."

"Goodbye Lovebu..." suddenly she is cut off and I'm in an office. I see Juno sitting at her desk.

"God damn you couldn't let her finish! Ugh! You must be Juno." She looks like a bloated zebra that rooted in the hot African sun... so like bee. I'm guessing she is his mother also.

"You must be the amazing Layla I keep hearing about." Juno expresses. 

"Oh wow people talk about me?" 

"The human that turned demon good. Yep you're pretty famous around here. And you can't stay!" Am I really famous down here? 

"But you didn't give Emily a second chance!" It's no fair.

"Life isn't fair and neither is death." She shook her head.

"Just take me home." I need to get back. And just like that I see black again. I can hear sobs and a monitor flatline. 

"Time of death 12:19am." What I'm not dead! I'm suddenly able to see my mother crying on the floor and Beetlejuice comforting her. Then he come over to me sobbing.

"Please, come back..." I can hear the crack in his voice how hurt he is. A tear rolls down his face and lands on me (think of this as the magical tear from the Disney movies). I hear the monitor start to beep again, yep bitch I'm backkkkk! 

"Bee?" I say faintly 

"B...bug!" He hugs me super tight sobbing.

"It's a miracle!!" The doctor exclames
