Alex POV
"Wait, hold on," Jay said. When I look up towards the, I notice the air around that man starts to glow red!
"What the... Am I seeing things right?" I can't take my eyes off him. Or rather... I don't want to.
"Was it just me?" He asked before slowly reaching out towards me, saying things I can't understand. An unfamiliar woman's voice breaks the hazy atmosphere,
"Alexis Browne?"
"What was that I looked back towards the voice." Why is my heart pounding... as if I like him?
"Are you Alex Browne?" She asks me again.
"Ms Alex, do you know her?" Says the man as if he had known me for years. I just ignore him and reply,
"Yes, I am Alex. And you are?"
"Oh, I-I'm Amy Pevensie. I'm your dorm roommate." right after answering my question, Amy hands me a college entrance pamphlet.
"At our school, the seniors provide school tours to their freshmen roommates on the day of the entrance ceremony. Well, it's not mandatory, so we don't have to go now." She starts to blush and looks at the three men behind me, "If you want, we could just talk?" she asks, still staring at the men.
Even while she is talking to me, she can't take her eyes off those boys. Just like I did a few minutes ago... I think she wants to use me to join the conversation. Hmm... What should I do? Should I let her? Or...Well, I guess I could repay her kindness... After all, it's not that hard, is it?
"I'm sorry. I was just talking to these guys." I point to the boys as I say this, and Amy nods vigorously as she blushes.
"I know, you're talking with Jay Russell! N-Nice to meet you! I'm Amy Pevensie!" What the, she's treating him like royalty. But this Jay guy doesn't even bat an eyelash. He ignores her and keeps talking to me.
"You can go if you're busy. We were in the middle of something too. We can talk later. When there's no one around to bother us." He glances at Amy as he says this. How rude!
"Uh... I don't think we'll ever meet again."
"I doubt that. We'll meet again soon."
After meeting the Russell brothers... I get a tour of the campus from Amy, we decide to take a break at one of her favourite cafes. She seems to be the shy type. And to think she was so eager to join in the conversation with them earlier... Maybe I can help her... What should we talk about?
"Oh, by the way, those guys I talked to a moment ago... they're not dangerous or anything, right? Like doing so many drugs that their eyes turn red..."
"Th-there are a lot of rumours about them... But I've never heard of anything like that!" Maybe I was just... imagining it. I questioned myself.
"The Russells are the stars of our school!" Amy said, breaking my thinking. Amy's eyes sparkle as she talks about them. The shy version of her is nowhere to be seen.
"Jay, Theo, Andrew. They're smart, kind AND handsome. You'll never see anyone like them at other schools." She explained.
"Wow... you must really like them." As I do not show much interest in Amy's enthusiasm about them, she asks me out of curiosity,
"But h-how? What I mean is- Y-you really feel nothing after seeing them that closely?" I answer, gradually maddening.
"Not at all. They annoyed me! He was really rude to me when I fell over. Plus, when I tried to go, he stopped me and said weird things to me. Well, I don't know much about them, but they certainly weren't pleasant."
