The cab drops Nora in front of Carter's house. She was hesitant to go inside, the flash of hurtful past was dancing in her mind. She took a deep breath and walk towards the door. She wasn't sure that the former password would work but it did. As she entered it was pin-drop silence in the house. All lights were out only the kitchen light was on which was brightening the living room as she walks through the hallway. The lamp near the couch was fallen which made her uneasy.

She instantly calls out Carter but didn't felt his presence in the house. As she walks to the kitchen her eyes fell on the liquor bottle on the kitchen island and a phone beside it. She went near to inspect and it was Carter's phone making sure he was at home.

She walks out of the kitchen from the opposite door leading her to the other living room which was lit up by the lawn light of the backyard coming from the glass wall. The glass table in the middle of the couch was shattered. She walks near to investigate the table and finds Carter pass out on the couch.

Nora runs to Carter. She shook him and calls out his name. After few attempts, he opened his eyes. He looks at Nora and smiles and suddenly looks down."Carter are you okay?" she asked worriedHe got up stumbling and walks to the kitchen. Nora kept asking him what he needs but he ignored her. He took out one glass almost making it fall. Nora just stands near the kitchen entrance and watches Carter with a worried eye. She felt not needed the way Carter was ignoring her. He walks back to the kitchen island and opens the alcohol bottle. Nora snatched the bottle out of Carter's hand."Stop drinking, you are not in your sense," she said with an angry tone"I don't want to be in my sense, give back the bottle," he said extending his hand toward the bottle"No, I am not giving," she said in a stern voiceShe hides the bottle behind her as Carter tries to take the bottle out of her hand."Give me," he said again"No," she said and took a step back"Why are you torturing me?" Carter asked as Nora gave him a confused look "Why don't you disappear like every day?" he said avoiding eye contact"Carter what are talking about?" she asked all confusedShe took a step towards him as she touches his face, calling his name with a soft voice. Carter shifts his gaze when he felt her touch. His eyes were full of pain. He is ready to hurt himself just to keep her away from him.He removed her hand from his face as his eye saddens. "Don't touch me. Only Nora has the right to touch me" Carter said with a sad voice "But what I do?" he paused "I hurt her, the only person who cared about me. I broke her and hurt to the point that I can't even face her" he said with full of guilt "I know you are not real. So please stop haunting me" he continuedNora was a bit shocked seeing Carter's behavior. She knew he was hallucinating but what was confusing is he was seeing her."Carter, it me Nora. You are hallucinating" she said with concern"No you are just my imagination that haunts me every night," he said with glistening eyesNora tries to touch his arm almost tearing up but again he yanks her hand away."You are not Nora. My Nora is sweet, caring and loves me but you are giving me pain here" he said as he points to his chest"I hurt her and left her all broken. But why is it hurting me more" he said with a cracking voiceShe was surprised to hear what Carter just told her. Nora was still processing everything when Carter took the chance and pour alcohol into his glass. Nora got out of trance when Carter walk past her and bumping his shoulder on the way. Nora immediately turns and walks behind him. She tries to stop him but he ignored her and took a sip from the glass. He walks back to the couch. He tries to keep the glass on the table and he stumbles and falls on the broken glass. He laughs when his glass crashes on the floor. Nora tries to pick him up but the space between the couch and table mainframe was small so it was difficult. Carter picks himself up and lies on the couch. "Carter don't sleep here. There are broken glasses everywhere, get up and sleep in your bed" she said"I don't like my bed," he said as he wiggles on the couch to get a comfortable position"Why," she asked"The fragrance of Nora has gone," he said as his eye closes.
