Thirty- Two

Zayn takes a deep breath and goes to the chair towards which all the mics and cameras are pointed.

ZAYN: "Some of you don't even know why you're here. You were just sent messages that I am organising a press conference and you came. It's weird how some of you have been a part of what I am here to say today. In the last few years, I have faced a lot of challenges. Not just in my career but with my own management team and my own music label, who don't want to accept who I am. Everyone knows about the ongoing case which is going to have a final hearing soon but before the court comes to a conclusion, I just wanted all my fans to know something about me and this, according to me, is the best way to let them know. I want to tell you all that this industry is f****** toxic I have suffered through anxiety, stress and depression and what not in this past few years. I don't want to scare anyone who is new to the industry but I just wanna say before you sign a contract, read it and make sure you understand it because when I did it I had no idea what I was signing."

He takes a moment and speaks again "Me and Ava were infact, never really together, some of you were asked to come and click pictures of us in the streets and hence you know how real it was. It was always a forced relationship caused by the management and the label to promote our music. Right now, Ava is pregnant, as most of you know now because someone tried to violate her privacy while she was hiding from the media at a safe place, but she's not pregnant with my child, it's her boyfriend's child. Guess what? No one knew his boyfriend ever, not even me, you know why? Because they didn't want them to. In this industry, you can keep any secret if you want to keep it but if you don't, then well you know what happens and there's a secret about me too, that almost came out. Most of you know about it, but I never really dared to announce it officially, so here it goes. I am officially announcing today that I'm not just a supporter of the lgbtq community I am a part of it!"

A lot of people start asking questions about what the hell just happened but it's pretty clear that Zayn doesn't want to answer anyone. He gets off the stage and walks to the private room.

Liam calls the security and one of them makes an announcement
"That's all of what Zayn Malik want to share today. You all have got your news, now you all can leave. Thank you so much for coming here and listening to what he wanted to say."

Some of the people start leaving while others still wait for Zayn or any of his friends to come outside and answer their questions but none of them does and eventually Liam's security asks them to leave and that's what they do because they have got nothing else to do here anymore.

LIAM: "That was a bold move."

NIALL: "And the right one?"

LOUIS: "We are partying tonight, right here in this hall."

HARRY: "I'll get the drinks."

Kia isn't in the room. She's waiting for Niall to come outside, Niall was supposed to have dinner with Kia's family tonight.

NIALL: "I have to leave lads. Dinner at Jimmy's."

LIAM: "You mean Kia's?"

NIALL: "Yea! Same thing."

LOUIS: "Niall, bros before hoes."

NIALL: "Well technically that doesn't apply to me because my bros are each other's hoes so I'll see you all later."

ZAYN: "What did he just say?"

Niall starts walking and the other lads bursf into laughter.

The next day, Ziam are seated together during the hearing and that is spotted by almost everyone. The case ends up in Zayn's favour and the management company's permit is cancelled while for the music label, the judge said, "This label won't be allowed to sign up with any new artists for the next four years."
