"Billie, can you hurry up?" Andrew, her husband yelled behind the door.
She rolled her eyes while trying to put on her heels, "Hold on!"
Her eyes moved to the mirror before she walked up to the door and unlocked it.
He stuffed his hands in the pockets of his pants, looking around the room. His eyes stopped at the shattered vase, "What happened here?"
Billie's eyes moved from the mirror to him.
A feeling of nervousness slightly hit her.
"Uhh...", she clipped her earring closed while trying to think of an excuse. "I accidentally knocked it over."
If only he knew.
"The maid will come by to clean in a couple of minutes while we're eating breakfast. I'll leave her a tip," he pulled out three hundred dollar bills out of his wallet and set them on the table.
"Today we're sleeping at our house. I'm tired of this hotel. We have a house for a reason," he stated.
It was like a second apartment to them. Every year Andrew would pay for the following year for it. And it was eight hundred dollars for a night. Sure it was an expensive hotel but there was no doubt that the staff here was treated like animals.
Both of them had seen it.
Almost three hundred thousand dollars a year just for a hotel where they didn't always spend their time at.
But Billie couldn't argue. She could never argue with him. She always had to obey everything he said. No matter if she liked it or not. No matter if it made her feel uncomfortable or not.
"And we still have to talk about last night," he added.
Her eyes widened at the thought of last night. It was indecent to think about it in that exact moment. He made her feel like nobody had ever before. Her husband could never make her feel even close to what he did to her that night.
She tried to put in her other earring while watching Andrew walk around the room. "Did you drink last night?", he stared at the messed up bed.
"I had a couple of drinks," she admitted, grabbing her purse.
"What time did you get back to your room?", he walked closer to Billie.
"I was here when you were banging on the door completely wasted. I didn't want to deal with you and I was tired," she stared at her reflection.
Andrew walked up behind her, setting his hands on her hips and kissing her cheek, "I'm sorry for going off at you yesterday."
She knew that his apology didn't mean anything to him. It would be no surprise if in a couple of hours he would act like that again. His apologies were never sincere and he knew that they didn't have to be. He knew that he had full control of Billie.
"It's okay," she cracked a smile, staring at him through the reflection.
He turned her around and wrapped his arms around her waist, examining her clothes.
