Matteo's pov

"Capo the body has been destoryed"

"Grazie lox"

He nodded and left .

I looked at my security footage and saw riley in the kitchen making pancakes with max and ava.

I went downstairs and went to the kitchen .

"Hello" riley said as i came in .

"Hey mi amore"

"You bored?"

"Yeah gimme something to do" just as i said that i got thrown in the face with dough .

"Oh my gosh" riley chuckled and took the dough off my face.

"Ava why did you do that?" I turned to her and saw her eating cookies from the plate riley set out .

"I had to distract you , here maximo" she threw him a cookie.

"That's it you two are in trouble" i growled.

"Matteo they're just having fun"

"No" i picked both of them up and spinned them around . They giggled as i spun them around .

"Papa!" Ava yelled and i sat them down .

"Im so dizzy!" Max yelled as they held onto each other.

Riley stood next to me and put her hand around my arm . I leaned down and gave her a kiss.

"Maximo come with me" riley took his little hand and they walked off.

"Where are they going?"

"Riley is gonna talk to maximo about being his new mom"

"She is my mom too right?"

"Yes ofcourse"

"But why does max need a new mommy?"

"Because he's old mommy went away"

"She's swimming with the fishies?"

"You could put it that way" i shrugged .

Riley walked back in with max on her hip and he was crying .

"You two okay?"

"Yeah im gonna put him down for a nap"

"Okay love you"

"Love you too"

"Papa i wanna watch friends and drink tea"

"Are we in london?" I smirked and she rolled her eyes.

"Pish posh let's go" she pulled me to the kettle and waited for me to put it on .

"C'mon papa i don't have all day"

"Okay boss" i chuckled and turned on the kettle and switched on the television.

"You're welcome"

"Shhh" she grumbled as she stared at the screen .

"You're not gonna pay attention to me aren't you?"

"I love it when papa notice things"

"You are getting way to sassy"

"Papa are you gonna propose?"

"Max is gonna take your place"

"If you say so" i chuckled and kissed her forehead .

I went and made her tea and placed her cup on the counter.

"Grazie"

"Im gonna go check on riley and max"

"She's my mom!" Ava whined.

"Fine im gonna go check on your mom"

"Thank you" she smiled and i walked out .

I went upstairs and to the room that we set up for max . It was right across riley's room .
I walked in and saw her watching him sleep.

"You okay?"

"He doesn't wanna be here"

"He just needs time it has to be hard for him"

"I know im gonna be patient"

"Good" i sat next to her and we watched him sleep .

"I really wanna be his mom" she placed her hand on his cheek .

"You are his mom"

"Im not talking about the papers , im talking about emotionally"

"It's only day 1 we have the rest of our lives"

"I love you" she looked up at me and i kissed her lips .

"Speaking of kids ava has gotten even sassier"

"You are so screwed" she chuckled and i looked at her confused.

"You better buckle in for her teenage years"

"Great that too"

"I'll be there with you"

"You and i , ride or die?"

"I like the lobster thing way better"

"Okay lobster wanna head downstairs?"

"Yeah" she took one of the stuffed toys that was on the floor and placed it next to him.
We walked out and went back to the kitchen .

"Mom look he has a chicken on his head!" She pointed at the television.

Riley went and made her a cup of tea and sat next to ava and they both were completely entranced by the show.

"I guess im not needed here"

"You're always needed" riley pulled me and wrapped her arms around me .

I pecked her lips and she smiled .

"I was thinking hottub night?" She whispered.

"Again didn't we learn our lesson?"

"This time there is no one with a vendetta"

"Right" i chuckled .
