Chapter 04

I instantly left the building after putting on my leather jacket over my attire from the previous shoot's scene, as well as shades and a cap to cover my face.

I went straight to the parking lot after Colin told me he was there. He also told me the color of his car and its plate number so that I could quickly identify it. I dashed inside to the shotgun seat when I finally saw a gray-colored Lamborghini Gallardo Bicolore, exactly as he described it.

"Wow. You've got a... beautiful baby," I said as I got into his car.

I removed my shades and cap since I was already inside the car.

"This was my dad's gift when I turned eighteen." He said, smiling. "Since I've never been here for years, this was actually stuck in our house here, which is why it's a little dusty. So today, I'd like to give this baby a shot." He added, smiling still. "Would you like to join me for a ride?"

I gave him a worried look. "But our shoot will resume in less than an hour." Hindi ako pwedeng tumakas! Patay ako sa manager ko kapag nalaman niyang umalis akong hindi nagpapaalam sa kanya.

"I'll bring you back here in less than an hour, babe. We'll just have a quick date, kahit drive-thru na lang siguro para walang makakita sa 'yo. How about that?" He was so determined when he said that. My worried expression remained on my face. "Do you trust me?"

"I do, but---"

"Do you trust me?" He repeated. "A yes or no will do."

"Yes! But---"

"Then trust me without any doubt. No buts needed, babe." He gave a big smile.

I don't want to put myself in this situation, ayokong tumakas. Never ko pa 'tong ginawa! Pero ngayon lang ulit kami nagkita ni Colin after six months. So, I'll risk it.

"I trust you. Whatever we do today, I'm glad to do it with you. Let's go?"

As planned, we headed through the drive-thru. We took a quick ride around the area while eating and talking.

"Napapa-English talaga ako, babe, kapag kausap kita. Kahit parang dudugo na ang ilong ko, sige lang! Basta hindi ako magpapatalo sa English mo 'no," he said to me during one of our conversations.

I laughed. "You're extremely competitive, huh!"

Bago kami bumalik, sinabihan ko si Colin na dumaan muna kami sa convenience store to buy my favorite drink. Ito kasi ang irarason ko mamaya kapag may nagtanong sa 'kin. I insisted na ako na ang bumuli sa loob kahit ayaw ni Colin. I wanted it that way. Kung may nakakita sa 'min, at least, ako lang ang nakitang lumabas at pumasok sa kotse, hindi 'yong kasama ko. Just in case someone saw us sa building palang kanina.

"Ang hirap pala talaga ng buhay niyong mga artista. Kailangan niyong magtago palagi." He said as we reached the building.
