Full moon and St. Mungo's

Pov Moon

The next day, James and I wake up early and we decide to wake Sirius. I grab a bucket of water and James grabs a horn. We sneak over to Sirius' bed and I toss the bucket over Sirius as James sounds the horn. Sirius shoots up and starts screaming. "Happy birth day!" me and James yell in unison. "What time is it?" Remus asks sleepily, he and Peter have also been woken up by the screaming. "Six o'clock or something." says James as he shrugs. "I'm going back to bed." I say "You can't, we have to go to class." says James "Oh yeah, Sirius can you tell Minnie I'm not feeling well?" I ask "Fine." he says gruffly. "Gift to make up for it?" I ask Sirius "Yes!" he says happily and jumps up and down like a little kid. I take my present and give it to him. He unwraps it and a new float comes out. "Thank you!" he says happily and he gives me a hug. The rest also give him their presents. "I'll stay with you today." Sirius says "No, you can't miss your classes." I say "I'll stay, I'm not well." Remus says. "And Moon is right, you can't miss your classes." he continues "But it's my birthday!" Sirius says "Yes and you have to go to class." I say.The boys walk out of the dorm and Remus walks over to me. "Move over." he says and he sits down next to me. "So, you're not celebrating your birthday and you're sick on your birthday?" he asks "Yes, that's right." I say "Why don't you celebrate your birthday?" he asks again. I doubt for a moment. "When I was little something happened on my birthday, that's six years ago today." I decide to say. "Is that how you got those scars on your face?" asks Remus. "Yeah, but they're not just on my face, that's the only place I can't hide them." I admit. "What happened six years ago?" asks Remus. "Um...Promise you'll keep it a secret, only Lily and Sirius know this." I say/ask "I promise." says Remus"It was my birthday and I was going to celebrate it with Sirius. We were turning eight years old. My foster father was eating dinner and my foster mother was playing with Jack. My foster father walked into the room and stood next to me. "How about helping out instead of sitting here doing nothing all the time!" he said angrily. 'I'm not doing nothing, I'm drawing!' I said 'Still knowledgeable too?' he said 'No, I'm just standing on the facts.' I said knowing I wouldn't get away with this." I paused and sighed deeply. "ungrateful wretch!" he said and he takes my arm, rolls up my sleeve and bites my wrist. 'Have fun with the rest of your life!' he said, and he laughed triumphantly. Ever since that day I've been a werewolf." I sayPov Remus
I look at her confused. "And it gets even better!" she says with the utmost sarcasm. "My transformations are not like other werewolves, mine takes one to two hours and is much more painful. Potions don't help either, they have the opposite effect, and except for a few everyone who had this has gone insane." she says "Moon, I'm a werewolf too." I say "Do the boys know?" asks Moon. "Yes. Who knows all about you?" I ask "Sirius, Regulus, Jack and Lily." she says "Oh yeah and my parents and foster parents."

Pov James

I'm worried about Moon, she's looking worse and worse. Professor Smith walks up to me and hits the table hard, knocking me out of my thoughts. "And where are Lupin and Grey?!" she exclaims. "They are not feeling well." I say and Smith walks away defeated again. "I thought she hated you, why doesn't she seem to care now that Moon isn't here?" Sirius asks "Because this is out of her control, she can't punish Moon for it, because she can't help feeling unwell." I say.

After class we walk back to the dormitory where Remus and Moon are sleeping. Sirius already has a bucket of water in his hands and walks over to them. "WAKE UP LOVEBIRDS!" he shouts "Sirius Orion Black, are you crazy in your head?!" shouts Moon "No!" Sirius says "Since you're all here, I have something to tell you." says Moon. "Or well, only James and Peter. Lily, Sirius and Remus already know." We all sit down and wait for her to start. "Where's Lily?" Remus asks. "Said has to hear part of the story too." "I'll get her." I say and I want to run off if Sirius stops me. "Just let me do that." he says and he walks away.When they come back we all look at Moon expectantly. "I'm a werewolf." I say in one breath. "Really?! seriously?! I didn't see that coming!" Sirius says sarcastically "Very nice Sirius, but we all know you already knew that." says Remus. "Of course I already knew that, why do you think you have become an animagus." Sirius says "But why did Lily have to be here?" Sirius asks "She already knew this, didn't she?" "Yes, from Moon. But not from me." Remus says. "No, but I had my suspicions." says Lily "What are the plans for tonight anyway?" Sirius asks "Go all together to the schieking shack and change there, we'll go a little earlier than usual." says Remus "What is 'earlier'?" I ask "About two hours." Moon says "Why do we have to leave so much sooner?" I ask "Because Moon's transformations take longer." Lily says simply "So we have to leave early." Sirius adds.

pov Lily

I have a present for Moon and Sirius for their birthday. I walk to my dorm to get it. I walk back downstairs and sit between Moon and Sirius. "I have something for you." I say and I turn to Moon. "I know you don't have to and stuff, but you're really going to like this." I say and I give them both a small box. They open it and two chains come out. one with the in script An eternity, for Sirius and one with Always for Moon. I myself have one with Forever. (A/N: chain from photo at the beginning of the chapter is the chain Moon, Sirius and Lily have, only with Always, Forever, An Eternity) "I thought they were broken." Sirius says "Yeah, they were, but I fixed them. I thought you guys wanted them back." I say "I have mine too." I continue and I hold it up. "Thank you Lily, you are the best!" says Moon and hugs me. "Wow Lily, thank you!" says Sirius.

Pov Moon

A few hours later we all walk towards the schieking shack and cram ourselves on the small couch. After a while I feel my fingers start to tingle and it slowly spreads to the rest of my hands and arms. I look at Sirius and he immediately knows what is going on. "it's starting." Sirius says "What's starting?" asks Peter "What do you think?!" Lily says irritated and when Peter opens his mouth to say something I start screaming in pain.

Pov third person

When Moon starts screaming in pain, Lily and Sirius sit on either side of her. James, Peter and Remus look on in horror, not knowing what to do. After a little over an hour, what seemed like a day to the marauders, Moon and Lily, both Moon and Remus had changed. The rest were in his or her animagus form, and Sirius had a wide grin on his face at the astonished looks of both Lily and James at the sight of each other's animagus form. The rest of the night they all ran through the forbidden forest and when the moon went down they all walked back through the tunnel to the shrieking hovel. She turned back and walked to the infirmary.

Pov Moon

When we arrived at the hospital wing, James took me aside. "What is it James?" I ask "Tomorrow morning we have to go to St. Mungo's. Or did you forget?" asks James. "I remember that very well, there is nothing wrong with my memory." I say "So why are you reminding me of this now?" "Because we have to go to class. Everyone will realize we're gone." James says. "So I was wondering if we could ask Poppy to hold us until we have to leave and then pretend we would have to stay until lunch." "That's a pretty good idea, I'll ask." I say "I'm full of good ideas, you know that!" says James and we walk over to Poppy. "Poppy?" I ask sweetly "Yes Mrs Grey?" she asks "Tomorrow me and James, or really just me but James always comes with me, have an appointment at St. Mungo's and we want to keep it a secret from the others so I was wondering if we could stay here until then and pretend we can't leave until lunchtime?" I ask. "It's fine with me, the rest of your friends are already allowed to leave, only Remus has to stay until tomorrow morning. I'll think of something that will make me supposed to keep you longer." says Poppy "Thanks!" James and I say in unison. "Now lie down in a bed." says Poppy and we both walk to a bed.The next morning when Remus is gone we get out of our beds and we walk to Poppy's office, there we take the fire to St. Mungo's and we walk straight to the ward. We greet Mia and Hope and several tests are performed. After all the tests have been done we can go again. We walk to the main hall and sit with the marauders, Lily sits with the girls from her dorm. "It's Christmas break tomorrow, does anyone have any plans?" asks Peter. "Yes, that ball." Sirius and James say in unison and I nod. "Yes, but nothing else really. Maybe I'll go to my foster parents so I can visit Lily." I say "And you?" I then ask Remus and Peter. "Probably just celebrating Christmas with my parents, I never actually go anywhere." Remus says. "I'm going to Paris with my mother." says Peter enthusiastically. "Sounds better than our prospect in any case." we hear someone say behind us. "Reggie!" I say happily "Oh it's not that bad, we always do a prank!" Sirius says "I thought that wasn't allowed?" asks Regulus. "No, that's not allowed, but when will we ever stick to the rules?" I ask "Never" Sirius, James and Regulus say in unison. "So, do you guys already have a date?" ask Regulus as he plops down next to me. "Yes, I'm going with James and Sirius with Marlene Mckinnon." I say "And you, did you have a date too?" Sirius asks. "Yes, actually, but I couldn't find any pure blood that wasn't related." Regulus says and we all laugh. "Yeah, that's pretty hard." I say "See you later Moon." Regulus says and he walks away again. When we're done having lunch, we go to our dormitory and start packing for the next day.
