Chapter 6

Hades' POV

    When Meg willingly confessed to staying down here with me in the Underworld, my small heart that seems to be growing because of her skipped a few beats. A portion of feels for her though, she doesn't have any valid reasons to want to return back to her normal life, the life she had before meeting me. To be even more candid, it took every ounce of self restraint not to kiss Meg right then and there. I keep fantasizing about what it would be like kissing her. I have a feeling it would be sensational. Her lips are the perfect shape, I think they would mash up against mine perfectly. 

      Good gravy, I just can't deny it any longer. I've developed romantic... and even sexual feelings for Megara. She's by far the most stunning mortal I've ever laid eyes on. She's also the only mortal who has never feared me, has been able to dish out what I give to her, etc. I don't know if I want to confess this to her just yet but the fact I'm even confessing aloud to myself (and to whoever is reading my thoughts) is major progress. Pain and Panic seemed to have picked up on the fact that I have a thing for Meg but they know better than to tease me too much about it or else I'll punish them severely. 

        I pace my throne room a bit, trying to ease my nerves. I'm a mess currently. Out of nowhere, someone appears before me. As I rub my eyes, I realize it's Meg and I get a bit anxious. "M-Meg. What's up?" She raises an eyebrow. "You never stutter Hades. Is everything okay?" I scoff. "Everything is fine Meglet. How are you?" She puts her hands on her hips in that sassy way that really turns me on. "I'm doing just peachy but I'm more concerned about you." I eye her up and down and motion her to my throne. I collapse into my throne chair and I motion again for Meg to join me. "Hades, where do I sit?" I smirk. "On my lap." Now she's the one who clams up a bit and that gives me satisfaction, a sense of comfort too. Meg hesitantly sits on my lap but relaxes when she's seated in a comfortable position.

          "Hades... I need to tell you something. I hope you don't hate me for saying this but I can't keep it inside any longer." I put a hand up to stop her. "Meg, before you speak any further, I just want to say that I have inkling as to what this may about. Anyways, continue dear." She blushes at me referring to her as 'dear.' Meg takes a deep breath. "Hades, I want to be with you... more than in the way I am now." I look at her in shock. "Meg, do you have feelings for me?" She nods and looks down at the floor. I cup her chin gently and get her to look me in the eyes. "That's just divine because I happen to have feelings for you too. I've been too nervous to tell you but since you ripped the band-aid off first, it made it easier for me to confess that to you as well."

            I gaze into Meg's stunning violet colored eyes and lean down towards her. She doesn't recoil from my actions and slowly gives in, gravitating towards me. When our lips are just merely inches from each other's, I seal the distance gap and kiss her. It takes her a few seconds to kiss me back but when she does, I'm blown away. She kisses with an equal amount of softness and passion, the ideal combination for a quality kiss. We kiss for a couple of minutes before pulling apart to catch our breath. We stare at each other, both of us grinning like fools. I clear my throat awkwardly as I often do. "Meg, we have technicalities we have to work out in order for you to properly stay in the Underworld long term, but we don't have to that right now. We can do that later, if you're comfortable with what you have to do. Is that okay with you?" 

           Meg gives me a soft smile, stroking my cheek. I close my eyes and relax at her soothing touch. "That sounds wonderful Hades. I'll do whatever needs to be done in order to stay down here with you. After all, I'm a big girl. I tie my own sandals and everything." That causes me to chuckle. "That's quite a saying but it suits you." She continues to beam at me and I can't stop smiling down at her. I feel incredibly lucky, I haven't had someone reciprocate feelings for me since... well since Persephone but everyone already knows what happened there...
