Jenny McRives was one of those girls that you grew up with and still stood by your side when you got uglier and she had blossomed from puberty. But she was also one of those girls who, as she got older, became more and more hopeless and drowned her problems and her liver in vodka. But the biggest problem with Jenny is that she’s awful at realizing that you are irrevocably in love with her.
Then there was me, Rowald Roads, with an unfortunate name and an even more unfortunate appearance. I was a sophomore who had still not lost all of my baby fat, wore cheap thrift store clothes, and is irrevocably in love with Jenny McRives.
