Sunday morning Y/n Woke up around 8:00 am, she got dressed and ate cereal when there was a knock at the door. She walked from the kitchen to the lounge room and the knocks grew more frequent "All right, All right. I'm comin', I'm comin'." She yelled. Y/n opened the door to find Charlie Conway standing there "Hey" he said rubbing the back of his neck shyly "Hi, what's up?" Y/n asked "The team is going to hang out today. I don't know if Connie is gonna be there but do you wanna come?" Charlie asked "sure" Y/n said "Mom! I'm going out with the team!" Y/n yelled to her mom "Okay sugar! Be back before dark! Love you!" Her mom yelled " Love you too!" Y/n yelled back closing the door.
As Charlie and Y/n walked up the alleyway they heard cheering causing them to run towards the sound. All the boys were crowded around the box Charlie and Y/n went to see what was in the box " I don't believe it! Who would throw these away?" Averman said "Eww are those..." Y/n trails off in disgust "First looks free, next five minutes cost a buck each" Karp says trying to make some money "Yeah, guys. Fork it over" Peter says "Forget it, Karp. I can see this every day on MTV" Averman says "Hey, guys, this one's from Minneapolis. Hey, Guy, look it's your mom" Peter laughs and runs away everyone chasing after him. "Let's give him a wedgie" Y/n laughs "Good idea, Y/n!" Guy yells. Y/n and Charlie pin Peter against the wall and Guy is in front of Peter "Come on! I was just kidding, okay?" Peter says.
"Hey! Give that back!" Karp yells making everyone turn around "Hi, girls" McGill says "Does your mommy know you have that?" Larson asked "Nah, she's Busy with the mailman" Larson answered his own question "That'll make great bathroom reading" Banks replied "My moms busy with your dad" Y/n whispered loud enough for them to hear her. Banks pushed her into Charlie "That's mine, you jerk! I found it!" Karp said angry with the trio"You don't even know what to do with it, wuss-breath" Larson yelled "You gonna let him call you wuss-breath?" Peter said winding Karp up "No!" Karp yelled running toward the three boys in front. The trio just pushed him into a bunch of trash "Oh!" Everyone cringed "Come on. Want some more" they started yelling "Oh please" Y/n yelled as everyone started arguing. When Fulton Reed grabbed onto McGill and Larson's jackets tossing them in the trash knocking Banksie over as well. Everyone cheered while Y/n smiled at Fulton and mouthed a thank you to him. Fulton stepped forward and growled at the Hawks and they ran away. The whole team muttered thank yous while Fulton walked away.
A week later and it's Friday night after school so we had training .When everyone entered the rink they headed to the lockers and got changed into their gear, then into a line on the ice. Coach slowly walked out to the line "Karp, i'm gonna count to Three and on three, I want you to hit the ice." Coach told Karp "One, two, three! Boom!" Bombay yelled as Karp hit the ice "What the heck" Y/n whispered to Charlie while everyone was laughing "What do you laugh at that, cream cheese boy? Let's go!" Coach yelled at Goldberg.
After Bombay explained that we were practising how to cheat he paired everyone up and surprise surprise Charlie was stuck with Y/n. While they were practicing Y/n's head was filled with thoughts 'I wonder what does Charlie think of me' 'Does he want to be more than friends' 'He's so cute and nice. He is perfect'.
Y/n was ripped from her thoughts when Bombay clicked his fingers in front of face "Pay attention Y/l/n or you'll be doing laps" Coach warned her "If we're gonna cheat, we gotta make those falls look real." Coach said walking away from Y/n and Charlie "Keep it up! Whoa! Score one for the spirit" Coach said to Connie and Guy "Go at him! Go at him! Good! Go at him! Come on, get angry! Oh!" Coach said to Averman and Karp as Averman went down "Come on, make it look real. Act hurt!" Bombay yelled at Averman "I am hurt." Averman whined. Coach stopped this 'training session'.
"Good, good. Now say it again!" Coach Instructed everyone "Take The fall! At hurt! Get indignant!" Everyone recited "One more time!" Coach yelled "Take the fall! Act hurt! Get indignant!" Everyone yelled once again "Good! You guys are ready. Okay Pack everything up and go home" Coach said.
Next day everyone is at the game Charlie, Connie, Averman and Y/n on the bench watching Goldberg hit the ice acting as if he was hit "Give me a break, ref! Open your eyes! Did you see what you did to me?" Goldberg yelled at the ref as everyone made their way into the bench "Goldberg!" Coach said "What?" Goldberg answered angrily "You don't take the fall while they're shooting at you" coach told him "Oh! Well, I guess you didn't explain that very well, did ya?" Goldberg said walking away from coach muttering something. "District Five!" The referee yelled "Cut The acting class. One more dive, I forfeit to the Jets!" The ref told Bombay "What? I'm insulted by that!" Bombay yelled.
Y/n stole the puck and got pushed into the wall and struggled to get puck out when some dude on the Jets fell on top of her the ref finally blew the whistle "Face-off! Let's go!" The ref yelled "Y/n!" Coach yelled for her "Yeah, Coach what's up?" Y/n asked "That guy twice your size. So next time he gets you in the corner like that, I want you to grab your eye like it's cut and then the ice! Got it? Let's go." Coach said Y/n glared at her coach she wasn't gonna cheat "Let's go! Face-off!" The ref yelled at Y/n as she skated to her position.
"Okay, even 'em up, boys. Here we go" the ref said before he dropped the puck number 18 passed to 21 who hit it behind the Jets' net Y/n chasing it up when she got to the puck number 2 and 18 cornered her again "Come on!" Terry and Karp yelled. Y/n Who is making eye contact with Bombay as number 18's stick started poking into her mask she wasn't gonna cheat "That's it, Y/n" Coach yelled Y/n kicked the puck out and pushed the players off her "Damn it, Y/n!" Coach yelled.
After another loss everyone went to the locker room "We can't even win when we cheat" Terry sighed "Stupid cake-eater tricks!" Jesse yelled "That was embarrassing" Connie walked away "Y/n! What the hell is the matter with you?" Bombay yells Y/n turns around "When I tell you to do something, you do it! You got it?" Bombay says Y/n shakes her head in disbelief. "Look at me. You got it?" Coach says "You can't make me cheat" she says throwing her things down walking out.
