I was woken up by the same old morning breeze that made me rattle like a church bell. Except this time nobody was here no meal or fire nothing was here. I stood up violently worried that I was left behind in the dust to be picked off by German lead. But as I turned around I saw boots dangling off the hill were we had spotted the convoy. I walked cautiously just in case if there were Germans on the other side of the hill. As I approached them I got into prone position I crawled the rest of the way to see what they were looking at. I crawled right up next to them and they must have been scared because I startled them. "Mother of god, don't do that again!" Said Bradford. "We have been tracing these Germans movements. They look like they are looking for something and I think that thing is us. Captain Mustard said worriedly. They fire grew bigger last night and I saw lights heading towards so I put out the fire. So now they have been patrolling this area since then." We have to move, they will find us eventually if we just sit here and look at them get closer. "I agree, replied the Captain. "We must sneak around the western flank to reach the headquarters. So we need to set up a diversion here and as soon as it is set up, we run as fast as we can as far west as possible. Those troops could easily get here and spot us running away so we'll have to run down the tree line." Exclaimed the Captain. So when do we start, I asked? "Right now, the main forces will strike soon and we need to cut off the supply. Men lets get rolling." We had set up a smoke signal to lure the Germans over here when we were ready. The idea was to set the smoke signal up and the smoke would take a while to get into the air and the Germans wouldn't notice it until we would already be gone. We were already, I held the lit torch over the signal and waited for the Captains word. "Now!" Ordered the Captain. I lit the signal ablaze and we ran for our lives toward the tree line. We sprinted till our legs would have literally fallen of the knee joints. We reached the tree line and the smoke had reached the atmosphere and the Germans ran toward the diversion. We walked casually along the tree line with ease so our legs wouldn't have to bear the throbbing pain any longer. We walked along the tree line for about an hour and then we saw that the western flank had been attracted by the trap. "Those vermin fell for our little German trap we set up for them. Haha," one of the soldiers exclaimed. We started heading to wards a cliff that would overlook our mission. We had almost reached the cliff and the German had come back to their patrolling shift. "Shit," the Captain said. We will have to use force, put on your mufflers and pick your targets call them out and we will fire together. We each picked our target and aimed carefully on their vitals. "Fire on three, one, two three! We all fired in unison and one by one the Germans dropped like flies. "We must conceal the evidence, the Captain said pridefully. We hid each off the bodies in thick berry bushes and covered any blood tracks with dirt. "We will debrief in the morning and stop this war once and for all." Said the Captain. We each readied for the night and reloaded our guns for preparation of any unexpected life threatening moments .
