Ian's POV
We spent that warm day running around the city, having fun. Alex was pretty good company. She was pretty, and super intelligent. I liked her, but I soon realized she wasn't exactly my
type.Alex's POV
Oh, man. I really, really like this guy.
Today was fantastic! We wandered the streets, laughing and causing trouble like old friends. I'm beginning to think of us as a couple already! What am I going to do when we leave Vegas? How will we keep in touch? Will he make me his girlfriend before then?
"So, Ian, where do you work?"
Ian's POV
I rubbed my temples. I hated waiting.
"Well... I work as a waiter right now, but I hate it so much. I would literally do anything else, as long as the pay was good."
Alex's POV
Anything? My head was spinning with thoughts of losing Ian, losing hope of a real relationship. I can't leave him behind, and I sure as hell can't take him with me.
Wait, can I?
"Anything?"
"Anything."
Set crew. Ian could work set crew.
Ian can work set crew and be with me, on tour.
"Ian." I stopped him, grabbing his hand.
Ian's POV
Please don't kiss me. I don't want to have to reject you right now.
"How would you like to work on the set crew for Pierce The Veil?"
My jaw dropped. Working for my heroes? Hell yes!
"Would- would I get to meet them?"
She laughed. "Duh!"
"Oh my God, Alex. Yes!"
I lunged forward and hugged her. I hope she doesn't think this is romantic in any way.
Alex's POV
OH MY GOD, HE IS HUGGING ME.
Okay, okay, pull yourself together.
"I think we should go back to the hotel then. I'll talk to the stage manager, and we'll get the paperwork done..." I trailed off as I grabbed his hand. We headed back towards the Panera.
Ian's POV
I was still in shock. My idols. I get to work for them. Oh god.
Alex kept going on about tour life. Honestly, I wasn't listening anymore. She talked on and on. Oh my god you'll love it on tour, oh my god you'll love my best friend Claire, oh my god this is going to be so much fun. Blah, blah, blah. Please. Stop. Talking.
We drove back to the hotel, and she led me up to the eighth floor, cooing about how much I was going to love Claire. She ushered me into her room and told me she'd be right back, that she was going to get the papers, that I could wait in here, that I should say hi to Claire, that oh my god I'm so excited.
I smiled and nodded, trying my hardest to be polite. When the door clicked shut and she was gone, I turned away from the door to find myself face to face with a girl. A stunning girl.
Now, Alex was pretty, but if you take her beauty and multiply it by about twenty eight billion, you'd get the amount of gorgeous matter staring back at me.
She had long caramel hair and smooth olive skin. Big blue eyes framed by long, full black lashes batted and she flashed an adorable smile.
"Hi! Ian, right? I've heard so much about you."
"H-h-hey." I'm a real charmer, it's true.
She smiled. "Alex sure is into you, going through all this trouble to get you on tour with us." She slung her arm around me, leading me to a couch. "I'm glad you're coming along, though."
"Uh, yeah, me too." She was so hot.
"So tell me about yourself, Ian." She sat down across from me, crossing her long, tan legs. Seeing her from this angle made her look strangely familiar.
"There's not much to tell." I smiled. "I study music here, and I really, really love Pierce The Veil."
"You study music? What can you play?"
"I play guitar and I sing."
"You should play for the boys sometime! They might even feature you onstage." She laughed.
She spoke about the band members like they were her brothers, not celebrities.
"Are you really close with them? The band members, I mean." I wondered if she even got to see them very often.
She laughed. "Well, yes. Obviously Vic, because he's my boyfriend, and Jaime..." She went on, but I zoned out. Boyfriend? My heart sunk. I really liked this girl, and there's no way on this planet I can compete with Vic fucking Fuentes.
Who said I couldn't try, though?
Sorry this is really short. There's about to be a crazy love triangle and a jealous Jaime on the loose, so watch out!
