HIM

26 6 10

As he passed my heart roared in my chest,

The need to pull him into my arms was so great,

The smell of his cologne,

His face intrigued me,

His jaw line sharp watching to be touched,

I followed him,

I looked closer,

Blood dripping from him,

As he fell,

I caught him,

That day I made him and myself a promise,

As long as I am breathing,

He would never hurt,

I nurtured him back to health,

As he looked into my eyes,

For the first time,

My new favorite color was green,

Deep enchanting like the sea,

As we stared at each other mesmerized,

We laugh and talk as if we knew each other forever,

He held me hand,

Walked me to the cliff,

As I lean into him,

Smelling his divine scent,

He pushed me off the cliff,

As I fell to my death,

I looked into his eyes,

Searching for the man I feel in love with,

He was no more,

As he seemed to vanish evermore.
