"THIS LOOKS LIKE IT, SHAWN," Cory told Shawn as he, Shawn, and Dakota were watching a couple fighting. "I think it's gonna happen. She's taking the necklace off. Ooh. Locket in the pocket."

"Come on, come on. And I never want to see you again," Shawn subtly cheered.

"And I never want to see you again!" the girl shouted.

"What are we watching?" Dakota asked.

"Veronica Watson just broke up with her boyfriend! She's back on the market!" Shawn cheered.

"What's it to you? You're not good enough for her," Dakota sweetly smiled.

"Ignore Dakota. If you want the girl, you better act fast," Cory advised.

"No, no. I should respect what she and Dennis had and give her time to get over it," Shawn decided.

"He must really be into this thing. He'd normally pick a fight with me right about now," Dakota muttered to Cory who side nodded in agreement.

"Alright, then," Shawn spun around, walking to the 'girl on the market'. "Veronica, I saw what just happened between you and Dennis-"

"-Look, if you're asking me out for Friday night, I uh I really don't think I'm ready," Veronica excused.

"Yeah, I uh I understand," Shawn nodded. "How's Saturday?"

"Is he serious right now?" Dakota watched in disbelief.

"Unfortunately yes," Cory confirmed.

"Perfect," Veronica agreed.

"Wow," Dakota muttered.

"Beautiful," Shawn replied happily. "I'll pick you up at 8!" Shawn turned back to us, smiling happily at the events that just happened.

"That was a good move because word of their breakup was bound to spread quickly," Cory commented.

"I still can't believe she said yes," Dakota said. "I was honestly surprised when she let you down softly when you were gonna take her out on Friday."

"Why are you here?" Shawn asked.

"Topanga said, and I quote, 'my boyfriend, his friend, and my cousin need to hang out. Go hang out with them'," Dakota replied. "I'm not very happy about spending time with you either, believe me."

"Veronica!" a couple boys shouted after her.

"Sorry! I'm busy Saturday," Veronica apologized.

"Aw," the boys groaned.

"Busy Saturday, she is," Shawn smirked. "Busy, busy, busy. Man, I wish I could be a fly on that wall."

"Maroon, you're gonna be there," Cory pointed out.

"Even better!" Shawn beamed.

"Is this some type of bro code?" Dakota asked, not understanding a single phrase they'd said except for 'even better'.

"Later Didi, we're talking," Cory replied.

"Didi?" Shawn laughed.

"It's not my fault that's my nickname. Cory couldn't pronounce my name when we were 3 and it's stuck since then. I find it endearing, if I'm being honest," Dakota shrugged.

"Didi?" Shawn repeated.

"Can we please move on?" Dakota asked, annoyed.

"Sure," Cory agreed. "I'll ask my parents if this whole date thing is ok."
