"I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVE to go back to school," Dakota groaned as her mom and Topanga were driving to school.

"Well, it has been the plan since we started summer," her mom recalled.

"She knows that. She just doesn't want to see Shawn," Topanga snickered.

"I wouldn't be talking. I'm not the one in love with his best friend," Dakota bit back causing Topanga to blush.

"Am not," Topanga assured.

"Oh yeah? Tell that to the blush on your face and extra lipgloss on your lips," Dakota teased.

"Well, I think that the only reason you fight with Shawn is because you like him," Topanga shrugged innocently.

"You thought wrong," Dakota said.

"Dakota, I know you don't like this Shawn guy, but don't let him dampen your mood on school," Dakota's mom spoke.

"Please. Feeny did that on his own," Dakota deadpanned.

"We're here. Don't do anything irrational. And the next time you change your boyfriend, don't," her mom pleaded.

"Come on, mom. You know me better than that," Dakota replied.

"It was worth a shot," her mom sighed. "Have a good day at school, you two."

"Thanks, Aunt Tamika," Topanga thanked.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on. Liam's waiting at my locker," Dakota intervened, getting out of the car with Topanga.

"Why?" she asked.

"I need to dump him. I'm going on a date with Brian after school," Dakota responded.

"Well, I hope Cory's- I mean, I hope that Mr. Turner has a challenging lesson for us today," Topanga cut herself off.

"Stop ignoring your feelings. They're only gonna grow," Dakota chuckled as she and Topanga entered the school. "Oh look, there's Leah. Come on."

"Hey Leah," Topanga greeted, walking up to her with Dakota not too far behind.

"Hey, Topanga. Oh, Dakota, have you broken up with Liam yet?" Leah asked.

"No, not yet, but, like I promised, you can pick up the pieces," Dakota promised.

"Thanks. I've liked him since first grade, but he doesn't bat an eyelash to me," Leah sighed.

"He will once he knows what you do after school," Dakota assured.

"But she goes to cheerleading practices in those short shorts," Topanga pointed out.

"Exactly," Dakota smirked. "Why else do you think I can get any guy? I'm sexy. And so is Leah."

"Aw thanks," Leah thanked, looking down sheepishly as Cory came up to the girls.

"Hello," Cory greeted weirdly as Topanga turned around with a dazed look in her eyes.

"Cory, hi. So, we're all in the same again," Topanga greeted back, almost giddily.

"Yeah uh I had a nice summer too, thanks," Cory awkwardly said. The two just stared awkwardly at each other for a second, both dazed.

"Hello? Earth to Cory? Earth to Topanga?" Dakota waved her hand in front of her two best friends.

"Bye," Cory said, walking backward towards Shawn, who was watching and leaning against the lockers.

"And there's Satan," Dakota grumbled, gesturing towards Shawn.
