"YOU KNOW THE BEST THING about studying at your house?" Shawn asked Cory as he, Cory, and Dakota studied for their upcoming test.
"The good lighting in the bathroom?" Cory guessed.
"No Feeny," Shawn corrected before Mr. Feeny knocked on the back door.
"Morning," he greeted.
"I think there's a little gray area in that statement," Dakota sighed, looking at her teacher.
"That is really not fair," Shawn shook his head. Mr. Feeny knocked again, looking at the trio expectantly.
"Hunter, you're closer to the door. Why don't you get it?" Dakota suggested, gesturing him to the door.
"Why? So he can hassle me? No. That door is doing exactly what it's supposed to," Shawn responded.
"Hey, I know Feeny, alright? The man is a pro. Now, he leaves that principal stuff at school," Cory assured, opening the door for Mr. Feeny.
"Ready for the test, children?" Mr. Feeny asked.
"Oh yeah. It's totally locked away in a little drawer in his office," Dakota sarcastically agreed, closing her book and sliding it into her backpack.
"Again. Not fair," Shawn repeated.
"We're studying, Mr. Feeny," Cory pointed out.
"See, my history book is right here," Shawn handed Mr. Feeny his shrink-wrapped book.
"Still in its original cellophane I see," Mr. Feeny nodded.
"I get top dollar on the resale," Shawn nodded.
"You know, Mr. Hunter, the students that do the best in my class have read the book," Mr. Feeny said. "Like Ms. Lawrence and her cousin, for example. My top students."
"What's that get 'em?" Shawn asked.
"Into college," Mr. Feeny replied.
"More books," Shawn groaned, taking his history book back.
"George! Is the trio in trouble?" Mrs. Matthews asked knowingly as she walked downstairs.
"Probably," Mr. Feeny sighed. "But that's not why I'm here." Mr. Feeny handed Mrs. Matthews her gift for her birthday.
"You remembered my birthday this Sunday, that is so sweet," Mrs. Matthews smiled, looking at the small gift.
"Oh. Morning George. Is the trio in trouble?" Mr. Matthews asked, walking downstairs.
"George remembered it was my birthday," Mrs. Matthews corrected.
"Oh, you got a birthday comin' up?" Mr. Matthews asked. "I'm kidding! It's Sunday. How could I forget? The Eagles are playing."
"Not for you, honey," Mrs. Matthews denied, opening Mr. Feeny's present. "A key?"
"To my cottage in the mountains. I thought you two would enjoy a romantic getaway this weekend," Mr. Feeny elaborated.
"Oh George, you are the best," Mrs. Matthews beamed, pecking Mr. Feeny's cheek. "Thank you. Wait a minute, I thought you sold your place in the Poconos."
"I intended to. I don't get up there very much, but I assure you, it is very romantic," Mr. Feeny assured.
"Well, that's very considerate George, but see I already have plans for her birthday," Mr. Matthews said.
