"DON'T FORGET LAB REPORTS AT the end of the day, no extensions, no exceptions. Any sad stories you can try. I'm always up for a laugh," Dr. Sorel, the chemistry teacher, announced as Dakota practically passed out in her hand. She, Shawn, and Cory were in chemistry class, finishing the period.

"Dakota," Cory tapped her shoulder. "Dakota!"

"The answer is 57! Just carry the 2 and drop the 0. Simple as that," Dakota sleepily answered.

"We're in chemistry, Lawrence," Shawn snickered.

"Sorry. I barely got any sleep last night," Dakota groaned.

"Why not?" Shawn asked sharply, waking Dakota back up again.

"Personal reasons," she shrugged as the bell rang. She quickly slid her report to the teacher, returning to her table where Cory and Shawn were talking.

"Did you do your paper?" Shawn asked Cory.

"No. You?" Cory asked.

"I didn't even know there was one," Shawn admitted. "So, what do we tell Sorel?"

"The truth," Cory answered.

"Cory, I'm sleep deprived and even I know that's a stupid idea," Dakota deadpanned.

"How's this? Aliens abducted us," Shawn started.

"And ate our papers," Cory finished.

"Good. We got our story straight," Shawn nodded.

"I give up," Dakota sighed, throwing her hands up in the air and following the male duo.

"No, no, no, Tommy. When I said 'no exceptions, I didn't mean you. You rest that touchdown throwing arm of yours. Turn your paper in by the end of football season," Dr. Sorel said.

"Well, I play basketball too," Tommy pointed out.

"Well then just forget about it," Dr. Sorel shrugged.

"Hey, Dr. Sorel," Shawn called to his teacher.

"No," Dr. Sorel immediately said.

"You know what? Why don't I handle this because Dr. Sorel and I have the kind of close net relationship that goes way beyond student, teacher. I mean, we are very tight," Cory assured, pulling Shawn and Dakota aside. Shawn nodded in agreement as Dakota started passing out again, falling onto Shawn.

"Lawrence," he shook her awake.

"Sorry," she apologized.

"Why don't you just sit down for now," Shawn suggested as Cory walked up to Dr. Sorel.

"He didn't even know my name," Cory grumbled as he, Shawn, and Dakota climbed into the classroom through the window.

"Why are you so upset about it?" Shawn asked, pulling himself in the room, Dakota following.

"Oh, I don't know. Could it be staying up all night to finish my paper? Could it be breaking into school so my paper's not late? Or could it be losing half my pants on the barbed wire?" Cory snapped.

"Touchy," Dakota noted. "Besides, why didn't you walk through the gate like me and Hunter did?"

"It was too easy. It looked like a trap," Cory defended.

"Oh please, if this school had money to afford traps, they'd be able to afford better food in the cafeteria," Dakota scoffed.

"Touchy," Cory noted.
