Chapter 9: Sports Festival I

The Obstacle Race starts, not wasting time I tensed my leg muscles and in a blink of an eye I dashed forward and landed at the end of the hallway, leaving a tailwind of my lunge, surprising the other participants.

"Tomioka immediately overtook the others in a few seconds!" Present mic announes as I sprint forward.

I glance back and saw Todoroki makes his move by freezing the ground causing dozens of students to become stuck in ice and skids himself into second place.

However, some of my classmates manage to avoid Todoroki's ice.

"How naive, Todoroki-san!" Yaoyorozu says out loud.

"I won't let you two get away so easily!" Bakugou shouts, using his explosion to boost him. I also notice some people outside of Class A were able to dodge it.

I reached the first obstacle and saw lots of villain Robots from the Entrance exam block the way. I heard Mineta scream as he got knocked away by a robot. Todoroki and the others stopped.

"Target found... Lots!!!"

"Obstacles have shown up suddenly! Starting with the first barrier! Robo Inferno!" Present Mic says, Some of the villain bots are the Zero-point robots from Entrance exam the that cause many students to panic. 

"Total Concentration.."

I unsheath my blade and took a stance before launching myself off the ground.

"Water Breathing, Fourth Form: Striking Tide!"
(Mizu no kokyū, Shi no kata: Uchishio)

I multiple consecutive slashes the robots in a flowing fashion to deliver multiple blows simultaneously. After that, I sheath my blade back and resume to my race towards the second stage as the robots crash down.

"Tomioka from Class 1-A, just took 4 robo inferno down smoothly!"

I felt cold temperature from behind, Todoroki instantly froze the robots and forge ahead, the robots soon came crashing down blocking the way for the others.

"Todoroki from Class 1-A, He attacked and defended in one hit! How elegant!"

Todoroki glares at me as he tries to catch up, I remained my straight face expression before speeding up.

"Amazing! Two of Aizawa's students got through! It's, you know, practically unfair!"

"Their actions are logical and strategic."

"As expected of someone who got in through recommendations! And one of the top of the entrance exam!"

Finally reaching the second stage, a canyon that trekked by ropes. I leap on each large stone pillars and ropes effortlessly without falling into the pit below.

"The leader of the pack easily got through! Amazing mobility you got there Tomioka!"

I glance back again, Todoroki and Bakugou were getting close. I evade Todoroki's sudden ice attack stopping me he's at the first place of the race, then Bakugou soon attacked me as well before he went on.

"Todoroki succesfully took the leading with Bakugou on his tail!" I made a 'tch' sound before I followed behind but soon halted when I reached the third obstacle.

"And now, we've quickly arrived at the final barrier! The reality here is... That is minefield! It's set up so that you can tell where the mines are if you look carefully!"

The lead Todoroki has starts carefully cross the Land Mine Field. Bakugou, blasts himself towards Shoto, thus gaining the lead. Shoto and Katsuki start having a brief scuffle for the lead.
