DROP YO WEAPONS, I am finally updating.
Win's POV
As I and Drea were bickering, I noticed Bright grabbing my car keys and heading downstairs. I shoved Drea and ran after him, shouting his name.
Even though Bright had his own car, I rarely let him use it because I wanted him to ride in my car. I had a selfish desire to keep him close at all times, and I knew it. When he wanted to go somewhere alone, he used his car. I had asked his parents to let him ride with me, and they had been fine with it.
"Brightttt," I ran after him. "Asshole, wait for me."
He was already driving, and I sat in the passenger seat, puzzled by his sudden behavior. I sighed audibly to get his attention, but he remained unresponsive.
I rolled my eyes and decided to enjoy the view outside. The ride was quiet, so I attempted to turn on the radio. "Changes" by XXXTENTACION started playing.
🎶 Baby, I don't understand this
You're changing, I can't stand it
My heart can't take this damage
And the way I feel, I can't stand it
Baby, I don't understand this
You're changing, I can't stand it
My heart can't take this damage
And the way I feel, I can't stand it, baby, I don't understand it 🎶I felt a deep connection with the song, as it seemed to resonate with the current situation. I sensed that something was amiss with Bright, something he found difficult to express. While I respected his privacy, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the changes I saw in him.
After a few minutes, we stopped at a sushi restaurant, and I went inside to order. As I ordered, I noticed Bright gazing at the nearby park along the river, so I continued with the food selection.
The sushi restaurant took some time to prepare the food, so I waited, engrossed in my phone and temporarily forgetting about Bright. When the food was ready, I turned to find that he was no longer there. I went outside in search of him but couldn't locate him.
I walked into the park, where he had been looking earlier. There, I found Bright sitting on the fresh green grass, gazing at the river. I joined him, opening his food container.
I tried to eat, but I felt an overwhelming urge to cry. His silhouette was mesmerizing, and the silence between us was deafening.
We stayed there for an extended period, eating and occasionally glancing at each other but never initiating a conversation.
Later, as I drove back home, the silence persisted. Finally, we arrived at his house, and I went inside to retrieve my clothes and prepare to leave.
I departed with a heavy heart, never expecting my day to be so painful. Bright was the person I cared for more than anyone or anything, and his silent treatment was something I found difficult to bear.
The next day, I drove to Bright's house to pick him up, but it seemed he had already left, and his car was missing. I called Drea to inquire about his whereabouts.
"Hello," Drea answered.
"Where is Bright?" I asked.
"Ugh, what?"
"Eye-bitch, he left ages ago."
"Huh?"
"Ughhh... he said he was going to use his car. Wait, you didn't know?"
"Uhmm, I forgot," I lied.
"Byeee, bitch," Drea replied and hung up.
I was left in a daze. A single tear fell from my left eye onto my lap.
