Bright's POV
After leaving Aunt's house, I decided to head to a park, craving some time alone to lie down on the fresh, green grass. The exact number of hours I spent there eluded me, but it must have been more than three. I occupied my time by taking pictures, watching children play, and leisurely strolling while savoring the scenery.
It had been a while since I ventured out alone like this, or even used my car. As the time approached 4:30 pm, I thought it best to return home to avoid raising any suspicions.
Fifteen minutes later, I arrived home and walked in casually, trying to act as if nothing had occurred. My mom approached me and mentioned, "Bright, I heard noises from your room, so I decided to check, only to find your phone... hmph."
"Wait, seriously?"
"Yes, son."
"I didn't even think about my phone, Mom," I replied, scratching my nape.
"Don't ever forget it. You received numerous calls from someone named Bunny."
I panicked, thinking, "Who is this Bunny?" My mom teased, "Did you find a new lover, aww?"
"Mum, stop, it's Win."
"Oh, okay."
"Yeah."
"Alright, darling, go take a shower."
I rushed upstairs as fast as I could to check my phone. The sight that greeted me was distressing: 55 missed calls from "Bunny♥️" and 40 messages from "Bunny♥️". I sat there, staring at these notifications, unsure of what to do, but I felt a wave of tears welling up.
"I don't deserve him," I whispered, tears flowing like a waterfall. "I'm such a terrible person. Why does he care about me so much?" I couldn't help but cry more.
As I wept, mumbling to myself, my door creaked open slowly.
