Usually, I wasn't the type to curse. And I rarely used foul language. But.....Fuck. Crap. Shit. Fuck.
But today's case seemed to be different than usual. Because......
"Bwahahaha!"
The culprit who roared with such laughter was none other than my sweetest Nana who was a tad bit less sweet for my taste today.
And the reason was me. Or more specifically my head. My head that for the worst had changed into...... Blonde......
I was fucked.
"Oh my God! Oh! Oh! Hahaha! Kou-chan, help me! I can't...pft...stop!" Nana barely managed to let some words out as she rolled on the floor and laughed holding her stomach.
Which made my mood sourer. That's it.
Laughing for the past two hours was enough... Damn it."Urgh. Nana, stop it! Please...." I begged her because I can never shout at her.
She glanced at me for a few moments and sighed.
"Giving me those puppy eyes, huh, Kou-chan?"
Saying so, she got up from the floor and sat in a formal position. She took a few deep breaths closing her eyes.
When she opened her eyes and looked in my direction, she started trembling with her mouth tightly closed to suppress her laughter. She looked like she was trying really hard, huh?
Now I was the one feeling bad......
No. Steel your heart, Kouji. You couldn't be laughed at anymore..... Sigh*I took the mirror and gazed at my reflection. My natural black hair had been dyed into this ugly yellow colour.
It didn't suit me one bit! I looked like the shittiest shit. Why did people dye their hair again?
I was never dyeing my hair again..... Ever....
I put down the mirror unable to bear the atrocity of my own reflection. Then I glanced at Nana who seemed to calm down. For now...
"Hey, Nana. Did you really have to make me change my hair colour?" I asked with sorrow.
"Fufu. Kou-chan, it's your own fault. Didn't you make a one-sided bet with me that you'd dye your hair blonde once you're in high school? Even though I tried so hard to convince you otherwise." She stated making me curse my younger self.
"....I know... But is this really your regret? You're not messing with me, right?"
Was seeing my dyed hair really that important?
Nana smiled mischievously and said, "Who knows?"
"What?!" I yelled with horror.
Have I seriously been played with?! No!
Nana burst out laughing while I was screeching in utter agony.
"Calm down, Kou-chan. I'm not that evil." She said, waving her hand and wiping her tears of mirth.
I thought she emphasised 'that'. Or was it just my imagination?
"Remember once when I said that you're a goody-two-shoes, you challenged me that you'd be like a delinquent once you get into high school? Dyeing your hair blonde, getting piercings, tattoos and all..." She said with a small smile and though she was looking at me, it seemed that she was gazing in the past.
Of course, I remembered. That humiliating incident. It happened when Nana suddenly took a liking to bad boys watching the movies that were trending those days. I must've thought that if I became something like that, she would prefer it.
I was such an idiot....
I wondered if she knew my reason. Not like I was gonna ask her and embarrass myself further.
"I wasn't gonna let you get tattoos and piercings but I really wanted to see you with blonde hair!" Nana cheerfully exclaimed.
Huh? No tattoos or piercings? You didn't like these?
Seriously....."You look...erm... How do I put it?.... Beyond my expectations?" She struggled with her words.
I showed her my hand to stop her and said, "It's fine. Don't make it worse."
"Ah, Kou-chan, really you don't look that bad! It's just a new look. It might grow on you." She tried to lift my mood with a gentle tone.
Maybe she noticed my irritation. I didn't mean to get angry. Sigh*
"Yeah, it might," I said the words I didn't believe.
She smiled a pretty smile making the atmosphere lighter. This smile was a healing one indeed as my mood got a little better.
Then I asked the thing I was curious about.
"What about your other regrets?"Nana's expression turned serious as soon as the words left my mouth.
With a firm tone, she said, "Next is..... Ojii-chan."
