"TO BE clear, she won't get stuck in the timeline?" Ezra asked for what seemed like the millionth time that day.
They were gathered in the private palace compound, Doctor Strange ready to open the portal for her. "She won't," the man sighed.
"Relax, I got this," Nova said with a reassuring smile to her brother, but in her head she was having a whole meltdown.
"Now, your— I mean, Nova, you're gonna be appear in the Avengers compound five years after the blip when they're about to begin their search for the stones. If there's even a slight change to who dusted and who didn't, then that means you're possibly in the right one. If not," he paused, causing them all to stare at him expectantly. "Make it the right one," he concluded with a shrug.
Nova let out a nervous laugh, locking eyes with Sam who sent her an unsure smile before turning to Bucky who nodded at her reassuringly. He walked up to her, grabbed her hand with his flesh one and giving it a tight squeeze.
"You got this, okay?" he said softly, but everyone around them heard it clearly. She nodded, gaining a sense of security by looking into his blue eyes.
"You're gonna stay till I'm back, right?" she asked and he nodded. "Of course. Come back to me in one piece," he told her and they both chuckled.
"I don't want us to have matching arms," he added and she shoved his shoulder.
"Hey, Strange?" Nova looked over her shoulder to the sorcerer who nodded at her. "Any chances I get to see these idiots in the past?" she gestured to Bucky and Sam who shot her playful glares.
"It depends," he shrugged. "There's never a definite answer from you," she sighed, before turning back to Bucky.
She patted the hand that she held tightly before letting go, Bucky stepping aside as she nodded at Doctor Strange to open the portal.
"See ya in a jiffy," she said before the portal opens and she stepped in.

NOVA LANDED on her feet steadily, and she was silently grateful for it because she then saw what's left of the Avengers who were staring at her through the glass windows.
Inside the Avengers headquarters, the remaining of the team looked at her curiously. "Did she just drop from the sky?" Bruce Banner questioned aloud.
Wanda stepped forward, tilting her head. "Let her in," she said.
"We don't even know her," Steve stated. "We will. Let her in," Wanda persisted. The others looked at each other, before nodding and letting Carol walk out to get her.
