All the crew members were in long boats, headed to the shore. I sat in-front of Caspian as he was rowing and next to Lucy. On the boat next to us, I heard Reepicheep saying " I doubt the Lords stopped here my Liege, there's no sign of anything living."

"Right. Well once we get ashore, take your men and search for food and water. The four of us will look for clues"

"Hang on, you mean the five of us" Eustace said from the back of the boat, looking at the back of Caspian's head. Everyone slowly turned around to look at him.
"Come on, please don't send me back to the rat"

"I heard that" Reep replied from the other boat, Making me smile slightly in amusement.

"Big ears" Eustace said quietly

"I heard that too" Reep said, making everyone laugh.

"Look, we're not the first ones on this Island" Caspian said as we were all walking around the place.

"The Lords?" Edmund asked.

"Could be"

I walked next to Caspian and picked up a rock, chucking it down the hole in the ground.

"What do you think could be down there?" Caspian wondered aloud.

"Let's find out" Edmund replied, climbing down the rope that led him down to the cave. As he touched the ground, he didn't say anything.

"Are you dead?" I yelled down to him.

"If i was dead I wouldn't be talking you right now would i?" Edmund replied back, sassily.

"You never know" i mumbled as Caspian and Lucy chucked beside me.

Lucy then went down into the cave, followed by Caspian. As I got near to the cave floor, Caspian grabbed my waist and helped me down. His hands lingered there as I turned around, looking into his eyes.
"Thankyou" i said as a blush appeared on both of our cheeks.

He looked down at my lips quickly before replying.
"Come on" Caspian said, keeping one hand on my back to guide me further into the cave.

As we went further in, we came across a pool of water. Looking into it, it looked like there was a man in there.
"What's that?" Caspian asked.

"I don't know" Ed replied. "It looks like some sort of gold statue". He walked over to the wall of the cave and broke of a stick to dip into the water. When he did, the stick started to turn to gold, causing Ed to drop it and let out a yell.

"He must have fallen in" Caspian said while bending down by the side of the water.

"Poor man" Lucy said, walking up next to him.

"You mean poor Lord" Me and Edmund said at the same time. We both looked at each other in amusement before looking back at the water.

"The crest of Lord Restimar" Caspian said, looking at it.

"And his sword" Ed replied.

"We need it"

What we failed to notice was the green mist, slowly creeping it's way into the cave.

"Be careful" Lucy said to Edmund as he used his sword to get Lord Restimar's one out of the water. "Your sword hasn't turned to gold"

"Both the swords are magical" Caspian said as he held onto Edmunds arm to prevent him falling in.

"Here" Edmund murmured as he passed the sword over to Caspian.

"He mustn't have know what hit him"

"Yeah, I don't think he thought he would turn into solid gold by falling into a puddle" i said with a grin. Everyone looked over at me. "Right, not the time, sorry"

"Maybe" Edmund said while putting down his sword. "Or maybe he was onto something"

"What are you talking about?" Caspian questioned him.

Edmund picked up a shell and dipped it into the water, placing it on the floor as it tuned to gold. He suddenly had a very dark look in his face.

"What are you staring at?" Lucy said, looking at him.

"Whoever has access to this pool could be the most powerful person in the world." Ed said while looking over at Lucy. "Lucy, we'd be so rich. No one could tell us what to do. Or who to live with. "

"Woah Ed, calm down. You can't take anything out of Narnia" I said to him cautiously.

"Says who?" Ed said, not looking up from the golden shell.

"I do" Caspian said, waking over to him.

Edmund picked up his sword off the ground and slowly started walking towards Caspian while me and Lucy stepped back slightly. "I'm not your subject" He said in a low voice.

"You've been waiting for this, haven't you? To challenge me. You doubt my leadership." Caspian said, getting louder with every word. His eyes started to grow darker, the warmth that I had become so familiar with was disappearing from them.

"You doubt yourself"

You're a child!"

"And you're a spineless sap!"

"Edmund!" Lucy said, walking over to him and grabbing his arm but he shook it off and continued looking at Caspian.

"I'm tired of playing second fiddle. First it was Peter and now it's you. You know I'm braver than both of you. Why do you get Peter's sword? I deserve a kingdom of my own. I deserve to rule!"

"If you think you're so brave, prove it!" Caspian said as he shoved Edmund.

They both started sword fighting until I got into the middle of them, getting my hand cut by Edmunds' blade. "Stop it! Both of you! Don't you see what's happening?"

Lucy then stepped forward as I stepped back, holding my bloodied hand in my other one.

"This place had tempted you. It's bewitching you. This is exactly what Coriakin was talking about. Let's just get out of here" she said as she started walking away.

Caspian and Edmund followed her, me being the last one out to make sure that they don't get tempted again.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Island, Eustace was walking around talking to himself.

"Oh yes, follow the imaginary blue star to the Island of Ramandoodoo! Lay the seven steak knives at the table of the talking lion. Ninnies" he snorts to himself.

He comes across an opening full of gold treasures. "What is th-" he started to say as the ground gave way and he fell.

He looked up and saw that he was surrounded by gold. " I must be dead" he spoke aloud. He started picking up things until he found a gold cuff. He went go get it until he yelled out.

The gold cuff was on the arm of a skeleton.

"You're definitely dead"

He shoved the skeleton and took the cuff off his arm, placing it on his own. "You won't be needing that then will you?"

He started picking up more gold, muttering to himself about there finally being a 'favourable turn of events', failing to see the green mist that was surrounding him.
