Jisoo's POV
We are now at the hospital's VIP room after Irene's examinations. She had a concussion and some bruises and wounds she didn't get from the crash.
"You can go home, Jis," Irene said as she laid on the bed. I was just looking at her, curiousity visible in my eyes but she seemed like she wasn't ready yet to tell me anything. I didn't want to force her so I kept myself from asking questions. "The doctors will be here to take care of me. You should go home and take a rest. You still have classes tomorrow."
"Do you want me to go?"
"Yes."
"I heard that ghosts are roaming around the hospital, specially at night." Irene chuckled and shook her head. Well, there's my sister.
"Go home, Jis," she said once again. This time, she was looking at me with a reassuring smile plastered on her face. "I'll call you if something happens."
I sighed in defeat and tapped her arm before silently approaching the door.
"Irene," I called, my back facing her. "I'll always be here for you. Please don't forget that, sis."
And with that, I finally left the room in silence. My sister was my pillar of strength but she just went rogue after an argument with my father. I can't really blame her though. Irene loved freedom and Dad knew that, yet he still wanted to take it away from her, forcing her to work in the company and marry a man we barely knew.
I have no idea how things ended up the way they are right now. We used to be happy. Our bond was unbreakable. But our whole world just turned upside down when Mom got sick and eventually died. My father became a heartless business man and my sister has gone rogue. We never stayed in one room without the two of them shouting, fighting while it was my job to keep the peace.
I'm tired. Incredibly tired. My heart felt heavy, mind exhausted from everything. I took a deep breath before starting the engine and eventually drove off.
I went straight back home, parking my car and slowly made my way to the door. Immediately, the heavy weight, crushing my heart, was lifted at the sight of a sleeping beauty on the couch. I smiled lovingly as I sat beside her, tucking her hair behind her ears.
"I'm in trouble, Jennie." I spoke to myself, still staring at her. "One look of you and my heart heals immediately. What will become of me when you're no longer within my reach?"
I kept staring, enjoying the moment while it lasted. After a few minutes, I heard her groan and her eyes blinked open. Her position might've been uncomfortable, causing her to wake up.
"Hi, Jen."
"Oh, sorry I fell asleep," she said and yawned cutely like a little kitty.
"It's fine. I should be the one to apologize. If I knew you'd be waiting, I would've come back immediately." I stood up to let her get up and proceeded to take a glass of water for her.
"It's okay. I had fun strolling around your house." I let out a short chuckle and handed her the glass of water which she immediately accepted. "By the way, I placed your package on the kitchen counter."
"Oh, thank you very much, Jen."
"No problem, but I should probably go before Mom gets suspicious again for some reason. I mean, you know her."
"Of course," I said after a giggle and walked her to the door. "Thank you once again. Have a nice evening."
And with that, she left, waving her hand as she reached the road.

A few days later, I invited Lisa to hang out with me since we both had free schedules that day.
