Jennie's POV
Our one week vacation quickly passed and I've never felt more refreshed. I managed to enjoy the whole time with the girls, trying out various activities and food I've never had before. It was a week of fun and adventure.
"Mom?" I called as I entered our newly rebuilt house. It had a few revisions but the accents of the house was retained, much to my relief. "I'm home!"
A few moments later, I heard footsteps coming from the kitchen.
"Oh! welcome back, sweetie." My mom welcomed me with a warm hug. "How was Hawaii?"
"Awesome," I answered shortly. "I'll tell you everything later."
I went upstairs to my room and to my surprise, it looked just the same as it was before the fire. I dropped my stuffs on the bed and went to the bathroom for a quick shower.
I was drying my hair when a memory of Jisoo suddenly came to my mind, making me subconsciously smile. This has been a normal scenario for me ever since that date we had in Hawaii. Sometimes, I would suddenly miss her as if she was gone for a long time and this is exactly how I feel right now. I hopped to the window and shifted the curtains, allowing me to peek at the nearby house. To my disappointment, she wasn't anywhere to be seen. Would it be weird to go visit her later? I mean, we just came home from a vacation together.
Jisoo's POV
I run my fingers through my hair and grabbed a handful of it, trying to suppress my frustration. I took a deep breath and let my mind wander off to my happy pill - Jennie Kim. I immediately smiled at the thought of her but thinking of Jennie just made me miss her like crazy, even if we were literally together just an hour ago.
My thoughts were cut off when my doorbell suddenly rang. I quickly got off the chair in my office and left to open the door before the person busts his way in. To my surprise, the person I was just thinking of magically appeared right at my doorstep.
"Hello, love," I greeted cheerfully, smiling uncontrollably at the sight of her.
"Uh, hi," she said a bit shyly but cute. "My mom wants to invite you for dinner."
"Oh? I would love to. I missed her home cooked meals," I replied, making her face lit up as she snatched me from my own home. She's obviously 'not' excited alright.
Jennie's POV
I immediately pulled Jisoo back home, grinning in victory the moment she said yes. Mom welcomed Jisoo with open arms, making me smile even wider at the sight of them. Soon, Dad joined us at the dining table and we all ate happily with normal conversations. I was stealing glances of Jisoo as she laughed with my parents. She goes along very well with them, even if they are both weird. It was never like this when Hana used to join us for dinner.
"Charming, isn't she?" My thoughts were cut off when Mom whispered to me out of the blue.
"What?" I asked innocently, trying my best to act naturally.
"Oh, sweetie, don't deny it. I saw you looking at her." Well, it didn't work.
"I look at everyone, what do you mean?" My mom was about to reply when Jisoo's phone suddenly rang. She politely excused herself and went out to answer the call, leaving me in a hot seat.
"Do me a favor, Jen," Dad spoke when Jisoo was out of sight. "If you ever decide on having another girlfriend, please try to find someone as good as Jis."
Ha! That would be impossible.
"Why look for another when she is literally within our reach?" Mom seconded, grinning very sheepishly.
