Chapter One:
The house.
Where have I seen this place?!
I was going mad. Crazy. When would I have EVER come here? I haven’t been here before. But this was just so weird!
I was so deprived from the sun, I was getting unnecessarily creeped out. The French saying “De ja vou” ran through my head. I couldn’t comprehend why this place was so familiar to me. I took a glance toward Jay, the look on his face a mangle between pain and anxiety. “ are you okay?” I asked.
“ mhm.”
“mhm?”
“yes, that’s what I said.”
“ I don’t believe you.”
“fine.”
“fine!” I replied angrily. Sometimes Jay was so annoying. I mean, “mhm”? who says that when someone asks you if you’re okay? Its disrespectful! I sat quietly in my seat, fuming.
Jay and I fought like father and daughter. Although, he treated more like a sister, always coming to me for advice and pep talks. we had a good relationship. A little argument was good every now and then.
We rounded a corner and hit a small winding road, sliding and slithering like a snake stalking it's prey. Chills coursed through me violently, and i turned up the heat, though i didn't think the chills were from the cold. familiarity seeped into my skin, drowning into my bones. Memories flashed in and out of view, too fast for me to process them. A sliver of knowledge swam just outside my thoughts, taunting and teasing me in the cruelest of ways.
The farther we drove, the more strange i started to feel. I've heard of people having dreams of a place and then going to it years later. But usually it was only if the parent had grew up there. i knew for a fact that i was born in vancouver and so was my mom. She had never been here, as far as i was told. But this didn't explain the nagging sensation in my heart.
Something was going on.
;) hey so, this was a short chapter, but only because i need to end it to fit in some action in the next chapter. i had to kind of seperate the writing to make it seem like a while has passed by.
