chapter five: Meeting

*David's POV*

Late on Friday night, i randomly decided to go to the Gym. I had all of this extra energy floating around inside me, and i felt like a was going to burst, if i didn't get my blood pumping and muscles aching. There was also my girlfriend. She was the other reason. I don't really have any feelings for her at all, it's just that, her being hot, and also her being a psychotic slut. Nothing i ever did was ever good enough for her. She always wants to be intimate, she never wants to just... Hang out. My friends like i'm crazy, because I'm so disgusted with her. But the truth is, i haven't really known better. to me, all girls were like this. every single one i've met. always trying to flirt, get our attentions, it got annoying after a while.

As i arrived at the Gym, i noticed a slender, tall figure unlocking a car, and trying to make it start. the person had their sweater hood up, but i caught a side glimpse, and right away knew it was a female. she made a frustrated grunting noise, and smacked her palms against the steering wheel. i started to walk over to go help her, but when i saw to piercing green eyes dart fiercely in my direction, i froze. She continued looking at me until i rearranged my startled thoughts.

" do you need some help?' i asked, out of pure hospitality. She just looked at me. i cleared my throat and asked again. " would you like some help? i noticed you were...-" i paused when she nodded her head. i started to walk forward, and she got out of the car, to let me in. i tried to see who it was, but i couldn't see her face. only her bright green eyes. i sat down and tried a few tricks, then got out, and opened the hood of her car.

after fumbling around for about five minutes, i realized that she was just standing there, silently. she hadn't spoken a single word to me. i shook my head and stuck a plug back into place. i told her to go get in and try starting the car again. when it rumbled to life, a shut the hood and stood off to the side, expecting her to say something. but, instead, she just walked into her car, shut the door and drive away. i watched her headlights turn the corner in shock. what was her deal?

*Catherine's POV*

i drove as fast as my little ford Focus would let me. which was decently fast. i turned up the speakers and blasted some sort of rave music. i took a detour through uptown, then booted it back toward home. i felt really guilty for not saying thanks to that man. he seemed really nice, but i don't talk to strangers at night. but he did fix my car... i wanted to turn back and say thanks. but i bit my lip as hard as my brain would let me. i needed to get home and have a hot shower. i had a party to go to tomorrow. i'd have to dig in my closet to find something. before i could get ready tomorrow though, i had to go buy some groceries.

when i arrived home, i was startled to see not only Jay, but a woman too. a smile instantly spread across my face as he noticed me.

" now now, Cathy, don't get too excited, it's not what it looks like."

" oh really? then what is this lovely lady doing sitting at the dinner table across from you with a plate full of delicious food in front of her? " i challenged. no way, was he hiding a relationship from me. the woman was tall, not stick thin, but just right, and blond hair. her eyes were a warm brown colour. she wore a revealing red tee shirt, and fitted blue jeans.

" Cathy, this is Lindsey. she is the new house cleaner. she will be staying in the guest house out back, next to the pool house."

hey sorry this is a short chapter, but i've been really busy lately. please comment, give me some constructive criticism. i know i have a few views, but zero likes or comments. but don't worry. i won't stop writing.
