Chapter 4

Months had passed and the boys had a new routine everyday. But here's of late Chongyun had been on official business so he was sleepier than usual.

"Yunyun, why don't I just come with you to your business, maybe it'll give you a bit more energy," He asked, proudly taking his seat in Chongyun's lap.

Chongyun wrapped his arms around Xingqiu, "mnnn that'd be incredible, you're incredible, thanks Xi," He kissed the males cheek mindlessly.

Xingqiu blushed, "o-of course"

Chongyun smiled, unwrapping his arms from Xingqiu, much to the boys confusion. Chongyun smirked, and lifted up his sweater, making Xingqiu's face turn a bright and brilliant shade of red. Chongyun chuckled before putting the sweater over Xingqiu and snuggling him even closer. With a blush still bright on his face, Xingqiu wrapped his arms around Chongyun's bare torso.

"Mnnn Xingqiu you're so small," Chongyun wrapped his arms around him tightly.

"I am not! You're just taller!," He huffed.

"If that's your excuse Xi...," He yawned, snuggling into him.

"I've missed you so much Yunyun," Xingqiu yawned "your bed is so empty without you"

"But that's why you're going to come with me right?," Chongyun played with his hair.

"Yeah, exactly...i never knew how much I needed you till you left...stupid...making me fall for you so easily, it's like something out of a fairy tail," Xingqiu hummed.

"If it makes you feel any better, I also fell for you, wayyyy harder than I ever wanted," Chongyun chuckled.

"So are you saying we're a fairy tail," He looked up at Chongyun who just kissed him softly.

"That's exactly what I'm saying," Chongyun carried him out of the office and into his bedroom.

He softly laid Xingqiu down, kissing everywhere he could find, making Xingqiu blush more. "What a lovely fairytale," He giggled.

"Mnnn yeah, and what a beautiful boy I fell for," He smiled, caressing Xingqiu's cheek.

"Hey...Yun?"

"Yeah Xi?"

"What...exactly ARE we?," He asked softly, looking away and closing his eyes as if he were scared of the answer.

"Well, I want you to be my lovely prince...and as all gay lovers they'll say we were incredible friends in the history textbooks," Chongyun joked. "I want to be your husband...but that's a bit too fast I suppose so, boyfriends?"

"Boyfriends," Xingqiu nodded leaning up to hug Chongyun tightly.

He was in his own little fairytale and he managed to steal the princes heart, him, a simple librarian. Xingqiu still couldn't quite grasp it, but he was happy. No, happy was an understatement. He was overjoyed that it this was what his life had became.

Not everyone was excepting at first. It was hard from them to break out of the norms of everyday life.

Xingqiu still loved the library, and continued to "work" there. Though Chongyun told him he couldn't sleep in there anymore. Which was fine for him. He slept better with Chongyun anyway.

Chongyun still loved to lay on Xingqiu's lap as the male read to him. They mostly read out in the garden. Chongyun loved to see Xingqiu amongst all the blooming flowers in spring. It made his love look more lovely. Which he never thought possible. Xingqiu was already perfect, and he somehow became more flawless.

Xingqiu caught him and he bashfully explained his thought process. Xingqiu simply chuckled and kissed him softly.

Years passed and the prince got closer with Xingqiu. They fell more and more in love everyday and Chongyun refused to marry if he couldn't marry Xingqiu. So many rules passed, arguments, court cases, and protests later they were finally allowed to marry.

They had planned a grand wedding. Chongyun wanted Xingqiu to have everything he wanted. It was stunning. The whole kingdom looked around in awe as they looked around the choosen venue. It was beautiful.

They had a winter wedding because that was their favourite season. Mostly because that's when they met.

The music began to play, and Xingqiu walked out gracefully. His long hair was tied up in a high bun, and he was dressed in a suit specifically tailored to him. Chongyun smiled, his prince was absolutely stunning. He genuinely couldn't be happier then he was now in this moment. That was the love of his life.

There were a few disappointed faces in the crowd, but it didn't matter to either of the boys. They were happy.

The ceremony went as planned, Xingqiu was crowned "Queen" of Liyue. Chongyun kissed him passionately. He held him close and ran his fingers through the males hair.

Xingqiu pulled back with a smile, caressing his cheek. And that was it. Xingqiu was officially there as his husband and the two males ruled over the kingdom. They were the happiest men alive.

From a simple librarian and prince. It was a simple love story, but a great one. Xingqiu never thought Chongyun would be his love. And he didn't think Chongyun ever expected to fall for a librarian. Either way they both fell, heads over heels.

And honestly, they couldn't ask for anything more.
