Your POV

I sat back down beside Dream as Sapnap sulked into Corpse's side. It was adorable as Corpse looked down, stroking Sap's head.

"When am I getting my money, Beautiful?" Dream smirked. Sapnap glared back at him.

"I don't have it yet" He growled.

Dream laughed mockingly and pulled me into his side. I just watched Sapnap, concerned.

Sapnap suddenly got up and out of Corpse's arms and pulled me from Dream.

"Come on y/n, come down to the ATM with me" Sapnap muttered, sending another deadly stare at Dream. I took his hand as he pulled me up.

"The power is still out. Will it even work?" I asked hesitantly.

"ATMs should work even through power outs" Corpse smiled softly.

"Who even cares? I just don't wanna be near assholes right now" Sapnap spat.

"Wha- what did I do??" Corpse gasped.

"N-no. No not you, Babe. Clay" Sapnap used Dream's real name with distaste and Dream scrunched up his nose.

"Don't call me that" He muttered.

"Mmmmmm. I've found Clay's weakness, guys" Sapnap smiled and turned to us.

"O-okay, let's go" I hurried, not wanting to witness a fight. I curled my fingers around Sap's hand and attempted to pull him out the door, he followed although he could've easily ignored my attempts of pulling him away.

"God, Dream's such an ass sometimes" Sapnap sighed, shaking his head. I squeezed his hand as we slowly strolled down the halls in the dark, on our way to the stairs.

"This is kind of creepy" I murmured as we turned another corner.

"Are we even going the right way?" I added, struggling to recognize the dark, identical hallways.

"How the actual fuck would I know. I've only been here for a few days!" I tripped over his foot and we both fell as I screamed.

"Shut up" He hissed. "Do you even realize how late it is??" He whisper-yelled.

"I'm sorry" I hissed back, pulling out my phone, sacrificing my battery for light. I switched on the digital torch and stood up, already walking away from Sapnap.

"Darling, wait" he caught my shoulder and I let out a squeak, unprepared for the contact.

Eventually, the faint light from the window in the stairway door came into view. We cheered and raced towards it.

Sapnap flung the door open, the hall filling with more light briefly as we stepped into the dimly lit well. He held my hand tight as he led me down the stairs to the lobby.

"Good evening?" The desk lady greeted. We both jumped 5 feet in the air as I quickly flicked my torch over to her. She looked young and innocent with bright brown eyes and smooth caramel locks.

"Oh. Yes, hello" I smiled and waved. Why was she doing duty at this time of night?

Sapnap waved as we walked over to an ATM.

"Are these working?" I asked. She just nodded with a smile.

"Thanks" Sapnap muttered as he inserted his card. I shivered fiercely. None of the heaters had been working since the electrical outage.

Sap didn't even look at me he just pulled off his hoodie and handed it to me as he tapped at the ATM screen.

"Thanks" I mumbled sheepishly, pulling on the soft, warm fabric. He pulled me into his side, hugging me into the curve of his waist.

I watched and counted until I lost count of the 50-dollar notes that were being dispensed from the money machine.

"How many bills is that?" I asked.

"Should be 20 if my calculations are correct" Sapnap smiled down at me.

"Jesus" I uttered. Sapnap simply laughed at my reaction.

He held the stack out to me, yet I just shook my head.

"I am not worthy enough to touch these amounts of money" I murmured, wide-eyed.

He took my wrist and forced the notes into my hand.

"C'mon. Let's go" he rested his hand on the small of my back pushing me towards the stairs as he glanced back at the woman who'd been smiling creepily at us the whole time.

He gave me another gentle push, signalling for me to go faster. I picked up my pace a little bit, hurrying up the stairs, money and torch in hand.

Sapnap took my hand and pulled me along. Once we got onto the 14th floor, our floor I pulled back.

"What's wrong?" I asked him, concerned.

"The lady" he replied, pulling me along again, I just asked questions as we walked.

"What about the lady?"

"Knife- she, she had a knife" he struggled to speak as he puffed. We weren't even walking that fast. I stopped.

"Hey. You okay?" I asked. He didn't respond, squeezing his eyes shut, I could hear his struggled wheezing.

I looked up at the stairwell. She had a knife. She had a knife.

'She has a knife. She has a fucking knife. Why does she have a knife? Surely she was just using it for something. Sapnap's overthinking. Then why was she smiling at us like that?' Thoughts raced through my head.

I panicked, returning my focus to Sapnap as he struggled to breathe. I sat him down, rubbing his back.

"Shhh.. breathe with me.. in.... out...." I repeated the quiet process for a while. He was undoubtedly having a full-force panic attack.

Slowly his heaving quieted and slowed down as he regained the ability to breathe properly. Then the reality hit me.

'There is a questionable person. In this building. That wields a knife' I pulled Sapnap quickly back to the apartment as hastily as I could without causing him to lose his breath.

As soon as we get back I have to call the cops. Maybe somehow warn everyone to stay inside and lock their doors.

But the power is out.

I flung the door open. Dream and Corpse looked up from the kitchen island, Patches looked up from her plate of food.

Dream stood up, alarmed.

"What happened??" He asked, making his way over.

"There is an unstable, dangerous person in the building" I turned to lock the door, and turned back around to find my face squished against someone's chest, their arms curled around Sapnap and I.

"Corpse, call the police" Dreams chest hummed as he spoke.

"Right"
