"Are you ready, are you, are you!?" My best friend Seth shouted in a high pitches girly-ish voice so loudly I had to move the phone away from my ear.

"Dude its too damn early for you to be calling, you almost woke up Bob and stop shouting please." I said while rubbing my eyes.

"I'm gonna let it slide this time because obviously you forgot his name is not Bob, its frank and no one cares if I wake up your damn cat. I can't stop shouting its our first day as Seniors!" He shouted the last part again, he really needs to stop doing that.

"I'm tired would you please stop shouting, called me back later and let me get some sleep, its 5:30 in the morning" I don't even think he heard me because I yawned half way though the sentence.

"okay, later" I could hear the smile on his face.

"wait" i said before he could hang up "you do know that its Sunday right?"

The line was silent for a while then he let out a string of course words finally ending it with "SHIT... my mother played another fucking prank on me. Touché mom, touché." he said this more to himself than for me to hear, but I just laughed.

"You guys are still playing that stupid game?"I said still laughing.

"It's not a game kenzie," he paused for emphasis "it's a way of life" he said dramatically.

"Alrighty then drama queen, I'll see you later." I said after catching my breath.

I was going to hang up when I heard him shout "wait Kenzie!"

The phone almost dropped out of my hands"What, what!" I whisper shouted.

"Could you please open the door for me, I'm out front."

My eyes opened wide "uh...um...I'll be right there." My voice cracked , my heart started to race as I hung up the phone.

Yep this is my life when it came to my best friend Seth. But keep in your mind I don't like like him.

"Shit shit fuck shit shit shit..." I whispered while getting up and looking into my mirror and to be honest I looked like crap. Yay. I was wearing a large Chicago bulls sweater and some sweat pants, my hair also looked like I was fighting with the Tasmanian devil last night."shit shit shit..." I took off the sweat pants deciding to wear the sweater with my underwear. Quickly running into the bathroom that was connected to my room to try and brush my unruly hair into a messy bun. After brushing my teeth and brushing my hair successfully into a messy bun I looked into the mirror, not bad, And I only took like 2 minutes. Then I looked down at what I was wearing and to my surprise a blob of toothpaste was on my sweater. "This is just great." I whispered to myself sarcastically. I took off the red sweater and put it back on inside-out, making my hair a bit messier. Hopefully he will think its cute. I heard a loud knock on the door down stairs." Coming!" I shouted not caring about the fluffy multicolored cat sleeping in my room. I ran down the stairs tripping on a couple of them, I could feel my face heat up ,because I know that he heard the noises. Seth's POV

She opened the door and I fell in, I guess that's what I get for blasting the music in my headset. Then I realized the position we were in, I was on top of her. Oh my gosh I was on top of McKenzie with my left hand resting on her hip and my right hand next to her chest. That's when I realize she wasn't wearing any pants and her sweater had risen up and her stomach was showing along with her blue panties. When i looked at her face she a light shade of red but she showed no emotion. I've seen her in less before, but this was much different in some way.

"Could you please get your fat ass off of me I can't breath" she said softly before, pretending that she was gasping for air.

While she talked I could not help but look at her lips. Stop it Seth she's like your sister. I quickly looked at her eyebrows stopping myself from looking into her eyes. I fake a look of hurt and gasp, then she started to laugh. When I gave her an evil look she stopped laughing almost immediately.

"Sorry sorry sorry." She said knowing exactly what was going to happen next.
She started laughing like a crazy person as I pressed my fingers to her sides and tickled her while shouting. "Im so offended! Say that I'm the biggest buffest most muscley, sexy person in the world!" I insisted.

"Okay okay... I'm the biggest... buffest... most muscley ... sexy person in... the world." She said pausing frequently to laugh.

At this point I started to laugh as well . I started tickling her with more determination " thats not what I meant and you know it"

With one swift movement I hadn't even noticed because I started to laugh so much , she was on top of me. Basically straddling me with my hands gently being held down at the side of my head. Her face is so close to mine, I get a slight minty smell which I thought was weird considering the fact that she just woke up a few minutes ago. I was about to ask her about it when she did the weirdest thing. She just licked my cheek, got up, tip toed up the stairs and ran to her room. Still a bit confused, I got up off the floor, closed the door and walked up the stairs and into her room which was the last one at the end of the hall and was also the largest room in the whole house since she used to share it with her older brother Marvin but he recently moved after finding out that had been adopted ,no one ever saw him since the incident happened a few months ago but McKenzie speaks to him over the phone. Last I heard he was heading to Las Vegas to (and I quote) 'find himself' I don't mean to be rude but ..... Las Vegas? Really? 'Finding yourself'? Really?

As I approached McKenzie's door I hear talking and I really didn't want to wake up her mom because she had been out to karaoke last night with her friends. I know this because I had to keep McKenzie company via Skype ,she doesn't like being in places by herself. As I walked into her room I saw that she was on the phone. Who could she be on the phone with this early in the morning I questioned in my head.

"You can stop apologizing now, its not your fault"she mumbled. But quickly told the person bye when she heard me sit on her bed.

"What are we doing for the rest of the day?"

"Who was that you were speaking to just now?"

We both spoke at the same time, this time she turned to me from the window and said "nobody, it was just aaliyah" I knew that she was lying because aaliyah got grounded last night. Mom took her phone and carries it every where with her. I also knew kenzie was lying because when she lies she looks at your eyebrow so you think she's making eye contact but she's not.

I dropped the topic, but wondered why is she lying. "okay. Well today maybe we're gonna eat ice cream, watch TV, study, we might go to the park later if it doesn't rain."
