Aaron POV
At the orphanage
As I was lying in bed, the only thing that passed through my mind since the day at the arcade was her.
Her beautiful wavy hair, her perfect skin, her smile that came out every time she wasn't stressing about school, and her blue eyes that when I look at them it makes me feel like I was swimming.
Do I like her? Does she like me? These were the only things that were going through my head.
I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if we did kiss and if we were actually going to kiss in the first place. Would that mean we would become boyfriend and girlfriend? Ugh, she is literally perfect, she's smart, funny, kind, and really pretty. Wait! Does this mean I actually like her?!
"Aaron? Someone would like to talk to you," said one of the orphanage staff knocking me out of my thoughts.
"Who? I don't think anyone is free today," I said as I got up to answer the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Aaron, it's me, Autumn," The moment I heard her voice I knew it was her, I couldn't help but smile.
"Oh, hey Autumn, what's up?" I said with excitement.
"u-uhm, well I was hoping you could come to the 'spot'. I need to kind of talk to you?" She said,
"Oh, sure I'll be there right away, Bye!"
"Ok bye, see you soon!" We both said as the call ended.
I quickly give the phone back to the staff lady and open up my window and jump out.
I'll be back in a bit!" I yelled.
You know what! I like her and I'm not going to hide my feelings any longer.
Autumn POV
At the 'spot'
As I sat down on the tree logs, all I felt in my body was doubt. Should I have called him here? And what if he doesn't like me back? Oh, I hope he does, all I can think about since the arcade is him.
His black hair, his bright smile, and his eyes. The amber eyes that are filled with so much joy and happiness. The eyes that could bring me happiness even when I'm feeling down. Every thought in my mind would spiral down to two things, either about Aaron or what happened at the arcade. I couldn't stop thinking about what would have happened if we actually kissed. And if he even wanted to kiss me.
If we kissed would that have meant we would have become a couple? God he is so perfect, how he's always so happy and goofy, it never fails to make me smile. How he has the ability to put a smile on everybody's face. How he can always calm me down whenever I'm freaking out about school. Yeah, you know what! I do like him and I'm not going to hide my feelings any longer.
Third-person POV
As Aaron was making his way to the 'spot'' all he could feel was the feeling of extreme nervousness. It was odd to him because for the longest time he had always lived carefree, but when it came to this, it seemed like that confidence disappeared. After a while of nervously jumping from roof to roof. He had finally arrived at the 'spot'.
There he saw the ocean blue-eyed girl sitting on one of the logs.
He waved, getting her attention, and sat down next to her on the log. Avoiding all eye-contact.
"Hey," said Aaron, staring up ahead.
"Hey," replied Autumn in the same awkward manner.
They sat there for what felt like hours of silence until Aaron finally grew the courage to speak his mind.
"Hey, c-can I tell you something?" He said with the same nervousness.
"Uh ya sure,"
"ok um well you see I um well," he said struggling to say what he wanted.
"Aaron, you ok?"
"Yeah, oh screw this! I like you, like I like you like you. And I know you probably don't like an idiot like me bu-"
"I like you too," said Autumn, interrupting his exclamation.
He felt frozen.
"What?!" Said Aaron not being able to believe what he had just heard.
Autumn looked him right in the eyes and said.
"Aaron, I like you too, I like how you've always been able to make me smile, how you're always able to calm me down whenever I'm stressed. I really do like you " She said with a smile on her face.
At that very moment, every single bit of nervousness drained out of him, a huge weight felt as it had been lifted off his shoulders.
"Hehe, I always knew you liked me," said Aaron with a cocky grin.
"Oh, shut up," said Autumn with a playful smack to his arm.
Both of their eyes then finally connected with each other, both filled with relief and joy. The distance between the two of them decreased as the moments went by, to the point where their lips were only mere inches apart. He could smell her sweet flowery scent and she could feel as if the warmth from him was blanketing her.
Not a single feeling of regret, except for not confessing earlier. To them nothing else in the world mattered, at this moment it was like they were the only two people in the world.
This would be the moment that they kiss the person they've liked for so long, this would be the moment that they finally transition into something more than just friends.
Thud!
However, this moment was not to be, as the kiss never came and Autumn saw Aaron sent to the ground.
*sorry for a shorter chapter, but the next chapter has also been released so hope you enjoy it! Bye!
*and sorry you guys aren't getting their kiss now either. Hahahah
