Before going to the library to meet up with Duncan, you quickly head to you and Cecilia's spot and tell her what's going on.
"I'll be back in five minutes, I swear. I'm not ditching you, I just really, really like Duncan."
"Of course! I hope it goes well~" She winks at you and you both wave as you rush to the library.
You open the library door and see Duncan, sitting in the seat next to him.
"So." You say. "...How's Gabriella?"
He facepalms and jokingly groans. "Alright, alright, I'll tell you the truth. I trust you. Last night me and Gabriella were talking and after a few minutes, she told me she really liked me; and yeah, I like her back, like a lot. But we're not dating yet. Hopefully soon though, she's really pretty." He grins at you as if it was nothing.
You feel your heart sink to your toes. All the effort you put in, the time you spent trying to make him like you. It wasn't stolen by Cecilia but by someone you trusted. Wow. Filthy fucking liar, every bone in her body. She swore she didn't like him. She promised he was all yours, and then did this. Despite everything, you decide to be the bigger person and be supportive. You put your hand on Duncan's shoulder and smile. "Duncan, that's fantastic! You have no idea how happy I am for you right now! I just know everything will work out. I knew it! I knew you liked her, and I knew she liked you!"
Anger. Anger coursing through out your entire body. You decided to ignore it.
"Alright, that's all I wanted to ask. I'm gonna get going, me and Cecilia night get something from the cafeteria. Bye Duncan!"
"Bye Grace!"
That little fucker is gonna get it.
