"Levi! Another order coming your way!" Hanji shouted, ringing the bell and then clipping a piece of paper to a long rope and winding it along through to the kitchen. "Ugh, right." Levi mumbled.
-Scrambled Egg Sandwich
-Orange Juice.
"Huh, this is Armin's order." Levi thought to himself as he went over to the fridge and got out a jug of orange juice he had freshly squeezed by hand. Jolly music played quietly in the background of a busy scene, it was a summer evening, and the café was at it's busiest, but Armin never failed to make it there and get served fast. He was cute blonde boy who seemed younger than his age, and he made most girls squeal just with his voice. But for some reason, Armin always seemed to eat alone.
"Erwin, order up." Levi called out, and a tall man in a green apron came running over, taking the sandwich and glass and bringing them to Petra, who would then take them over to Armin.
"Hope you like it!" Petra cheered, putting down the food and drink. "Thanks! I will, it looks yummy!" Armin replied with a smile, he knew Levi had made it. He picked up the sandwich and nibbled at the sides, to then realise it was warm and oozing with mayonnaise. He licked his lips and took a few bites.
"Hah... That tasted amazing!" Armin declared, putting the empty plate on the counter. "Good! So, we know Levi isn't slacking off back there!" Hanji replied, brushing a few stray strands of hair behind her ear. "Why would I slack off?" Levi groaned, fixing his apron then picking up the plate. "Oh, Levi! Well... No reason!" "Yeah, Hanji was kidding!" Armin defended Hanji, sometimes she said things that shouldn't be said about Levi.
"Remember this café is my dream come true, so why would I want to waste it? Now, stop telling your shitty jokes to the customers and get back to work." Levi said, smiling at Armin, then walking off.
Armin walked over to his table, picked up his brown satchel and put it around his shoulder. "Alright, Hanji, I'll be off. See ya, guys!" Armin walked over to the door and put a hand on the knob. "Bye!" Everyone simultaneously said, waving him off.
A few hours had gone by and the sun was nearly set over the city. "About time we close up, guys." Levi announced, putting away all the dry dishes and cutlery he had just thoroughly cleaned (three times!) "Finally! Another great day!" Hanji sighed, taking off her apron and hanging it on a rack, the other employees did the same. Petra let out a yawn and put on her coat. "Well, I'll be off, bye guys!" Erwin shortly after left too, leaving Hanji and Levi to clean up. "My... Do people not know how to eat normally these days?" Hanji groaned, brushing crumbs up from every last part of the café floor. "I know, it's gross. They should eat over the plate the food comes on, at least." Levi agreed, cleaning the tables.
Levi shut all the blinds and locked the doors on the inside. Hanji had left a while ago, so Levi thought he'd take a moment alone just to reflect on his work. Soon after, he left, locking up behind him.
