"Oh my... He does look like Grumpy Cat!" Armin howled, throwing his head back and hitting a hand off his knee. "Armin, you're silencing the whole café...!" Eren sniggered under his breath. "You're right..." Armin took a few deep breaths and stood up. "Pardon my rudeness everyone. I'm sorry for being so loud." Armin then sat back down, and most things went back to normal. A cute little bell noise was heard. "Some cookies and apple juice for the boys that wanna eat like they're ten years younger then they actually are... They're ready on the counter." Levi announced, placing a tray on the counter and waiting for the money. "I'll go." Eren declared, standing up and walking over to Levi. "Hello." "Hiya. There's your cookies and juice." "Thanks. Here's your money." Eren held the money out in his big hands. Levi placed his hand above Eren's and it fit perfectly.
It was like a jigsaw puzzle piece had been picked from the box and through some unexplainable miracle it just happened to be a perfect fit. "Um... Sorry..." Eren said, attempting to take his hand anyway. He was stopped by Levi's fingers intertwining in with his own. "Ah... Uhm..." "Thanks for the money, kid." Levi smirked, taking his hand away and sliding the money with him. A bewildered boy picked up the tray and left to retreat back to the table his friend was sat at as fast as possible. "Hey, kid. Your change." Levi called out. "Uh... Keep it... Yeah, keep the change." Eren mumbled. Levi let out a "Tch" and put the change in the till.
Armin was searching his bag for his homework when Eren came over. "Eh? Eren? You look a little flustered." Armin said, turning his head to the boy. "Really? Oh." Eren sighed, he knew the whole hand thing was an accident, and he was trying to shake it off, but he just couldn't. He picked up his glass and drank the contents in a short while, and munched down on his cookies, saving one for later. He just wanted to get out of the café.
"Alright, alright!" Armin belted out as he was pulled out of his chair and forced to the café door. "Oh? Leaving so soon?" Levi questioned, putting down a tea towel and walking over to the two boys. "Yeah... Eren said he had to be somewhere." "Oh, well I was enjoying your company." Levi stated. He was looking at Eren, but talking to Armin. Or was he? Eren's mind was so confused. "Yeah, well, Mom needs me back at home." Eren sighed, letting go of his friend's sleeve and sorting out his bag's strap. "Do feel free to come back anytime you wish, Eren." Levi smiled, he wanted Eren to come back tomorrow, or in five minutes, or to just stay. He wanted to see that face, touch that hand, embrace his warmth for as long as he lived. "O-oh... I will..." Eren blushed a light rose colour but quickly hid his face. "See ya, Ravioli boy!" Armin giggled, grabbing Eren by the hand Levi recently touched and bolting out the café before anymore could be said.
