Eren left the cafe sometime before sunset. The pink clouded sky set the mood over his small village of peace.
Remember how earlier Eren was sat on a bench in the park that overlooked the café? Here's why he was sat there.
Just a while before that, Eren had an argument with his Mom and Dad about his future. His Dad doesn't really know how to deal with Eren's bad temper, so he hit him. Eren left and even though Levi had brightened his life again he was in no mood to go home.
He had decided to go back to the bench and watch the sun finish setting. He felt calm and decided to pull out the same book he had started in the café with Armin the other day.
A series of unfortunate events.
In fact, he had already read the whole series of books, but loved them so much he thought he'd read them many more times over. He flicked through pages fast and looked up every so often to admire the scenery, when just out the corner of his eye, he noticed that same raven haired waiter from earlier, and many times before. The café was now closed so Levi was locking it up with one hand, while grabbing his phone and headphones from his coat pocket with the other. He let out a sigh and headed in Eren's direction, waving goodbye to his employees.
Eren badly attempted hiding from Levi, but of course he failed. Levi also loved walking about at this time and being free, but when he turned his head, he could only see the tanned customer he had served earlier peeking at him from behind a book. He took it upon himself to go over. "Eren, is it?" He asked, walking over to the bench. "Ah! Um..." Eren paused, realising his plan had failed. "Don't wanna talk to me?" He asked, sitting next to Eren and putting a hand on the marked cheek. "I noticed this bruise, is everything okay?" Levi asked, leaning in. Eren bit his tongue and blushed a deep crimson. "No... It's nothing." "It doesn't look like nothing." Levi angrily responded, he sounded violent but he was truly concerned for Eren's well being.
"Um... Well..." Eren stuttered a little, pushing back the words he wanted to tell someone. Anyone. "Well, my Dad--" "YOUR DAD DID THIS TO YOU?!" "No!~ Well... Um.. Yeah, but it's not like--" Eren was choked on air with the sudden rush of being pushed forward into Levi's warmth. His heart melted. "Eren... Do you want to go home tonight?" Levi questioned, again, he was not letting this kid go home if it meant he would be unsafe.
Well... What is a home?
